Fav brunch place during my visit to Chicago. I made a reservation and glad I did. They were telling others 45 min wait. They... charge a surcharge of 3% but you can ask for it to be removed. Juice was a bit expensive but I really liked the super greenjuice and I loved the baked French toast. Huge portion and it had a lemon flavor to it and not greasy at all or too sweet. Thebutter it comes with is very good. My friend got the yogurt and said that was too sweet. I tried my friends turkey bacon and itwas good. Average to expensive prices but worth it. We sat and talked for an hour and felt a little rushed even when we had foodon our plate. Overall I enjoyed it. Read more

If I could go back to Chicago, I would definitely bake Beatrix into my itinerary every time. We got the lightest, fluffiest... pancakes in existence. My chicken tinga was beautifully cooked and spiced with a little kick. And don’t skip on theInstagrammable avocado toast. Most importantly, don’t forget coffee. Make sure to get reservations as they are very busy, butif you can’t, they do take walk ins and it’s worth the wait. Read more

On vacation in the Windy City and this place was recommend for having a great brunch. I called the next morning before leaving... hotel to see if there was a wait and they said availability was open and no wait . After arriving within 10 minutes. Walked into be seated and the hostess rudely looked at me and said do you have a reservation? I said no, just called and they said therewas availability. She noted not sure who you spoke to but we don’t have any open tables for the next 3 hours The hostess wasextremely rude . Her only reason of not wanting to seat me is because I was there with my children to enjoy breakfast. I evenlooked online for there open table reservations and there was seating But honestly I decided she wasn’t even worth making ascene because I wanted to Remain calm and collected in front my girls . Would of loved to leave a great review here but insteadgoing to leave it for the other breakfast place that was more accommodating and their food was delicious. Read more

Great food, long waits, inattentive waiter. Make a reservation beforehand. We both ordered great poke bowls for lunch. Richard... W. Kept this from 5 stars. Agreed to let us take a vacant table in the shade. Then proceeded to ignore us on his next 5 trips tothe patio. We finally asked a pleasant busser who assisted. Otherwise great meal. Read more

Elegant breakfast made with fresh ingredients + fast and attentive staff. 10 out of 10. I recommend the light and fluffy lemon... pancakes - fresh, warm, lightly saturated with lemon essence and comes with lemon syrup. Not overpowering, and something veryunique. Good Stuff: + Clean and comfortable ambience + Very quick service + Good portions + Well-executed dishes with tons offlavor Bad Stuff: None. We visited this place on December 31st, 2021. Our family loves breakfast and we wanted to dial in thefocus on quality over quantity for this meal - and we definitely found it. Previously we reserved a table on OpenTable viaGoogle Maps. Staff was friendly, professional and quick. Interior design-wise very warm and cozy. Honestly everything wasamazing. The chicken tinga tastes just like mom makes it (I’m Mexican) and I was impressed with how good the shakshouka tastedconsidering I don’t usually like vegetarian plates. The pineapple habanero margaritas were impressively crafted and notover-the-top with a nice block of clear ice. The true star of the show however was the lemon pancakes, I could go on and onabout how well-executed it is - balanced flavor and not overpowering, fresh, warm; If your looking for something unique, give ita try.
