We went there for birthday celebrations. We made reservations for outdoor. They gave us a lovely spot with great view. The... server had a little attitude but we had really good time. Special kudos to chefs as the food had great presentation and greattaste. Only thing was we were vegetarian and we can order only side and they dont have any vegetarian entrees. The portions are small (tapas) but it's a beautiful restaurant with a riverview. I went in the winter time, but I really want to... visit again when the weather is nice. The food was really good. We "ooh"ed and "ah"ed tasting the dishes we ordered!(the noodledish though wasn't our favorite). Highly recommend if you're looking to book a place for a special day. Read more
The restaurant was really beautiful decorated with gorgeous deco. Great delicious food. Our starters were bigger portions than... the main course but everything we ate was yummy. We ordered the smoked babaganoush and mezze platter, along with chicken andwaffles. Everything was lovely. We sat by the river(although by the glass), it was still a lovely dining experience. The river seating is really special. We had an excellent time at Beatnik. Exceeded expectations. I especially need to recommend... the beet salad. I don't even love beets, but that salad was a stand out. Also the mushrooms if you like mushrooms. So muchflavor... Cocktails were fantastic. Read more
This restaurant was recommended by a friend and I'm glad it was. It's at a great location, right along the Chicago River. It's... actually a hidden gem. from the outside it looks like a small bar, but walk inside and out the back and there's a massive indoorseating section, walk a little further and down a few steps and you enter a really cool section close to the water with lots ofplant decorations. Food wise it has an extensive menu with something for everyone. My friends brought me here for brunch this afternoon and I had a really good time! The interior is an interesting mix of... Bohemian, Middle Eastern, and Gothic themes, which somehow works! The bar looks very welcoming and seems like a great place tohave a few drinks, while waiting to get seated. I really love the vibe of this place. The service staff are super friendly andattentive, and the food was delicious. The fish ceviche tasted fresh, and their burger is amazing. Reservations are required,because it's always booked out.
