Really enjoy this place. Can be very busy so make a reservation. Food is very tasty but I personally find it to be... inconsistently seasoned (thankfully never over). Atmosphere is good but can get loud when busy. Service has always been great.Timely, friendly, just the right amount of attentiveness. Read more

Hi all ???????? Time for another Wine & Pasta Wednesday! Today, coming from the westloop, was a bit of a hike but well worth it.... Don’t think I’ve ever been to Andersonville but after dining here I’ll be back! After chatting up a few locals forrecommendations we were guided to the meatballs. Rather than go for the Chicago favorite Manzo we took out waiters suggestionand went with the spicy pork Maiale. It didn’t disappoint. Lovely soft texture with just a hint of spice. From there we movedto the Black Peppercorn Cavatelli which was shockingly both rich and light right off the first taste. I think it may have beenthe smoked prosciutto and peas! ????????. From there we moved to the Braciola de Maiale (yes, more pork but also a suggestionfrom the waiter). It caught my eye for the peach mostarda. It was cooked well and delightful but my dining companion couldn’tget over the polenta it came with ????????????????. Another all star. We weren’t ready to leave so we saddled up at the barfor a drink or two. A totally different vibe with more natural light and liveliness than the dining room. We also learnedthere’s a happy hour menu to order from there. This place was fire and if you want to get a little north of the city, shoulddefinitely be a stop on your way. Read more

Got the special of the day, hand rolled gnocchi with heirloom tomatoes, mushrooms and summer corn. The gnocchi was pillowy soft... and perfect and the sauce was savory, yet allowed the fresh summer produce to shine. Rest of the table got the lasagna (whichlooked great and was a very generous portion) and pappardelle bolognese with oxtail that also got rave reviews, will definitelybe back in the near future! The food was excellent. I have no complaints about the food. The staff however were less than desirable. I made a couple jokes... one about who I was with, and one about who was paying. I was told to leave because I offended sensibilities. I did imbibe 1/2a single beer. I apologized for making any jokes that didn't affect anyone but was still told to leave. I understand that we aspeople have feelings but we as employees must understand when jokes are pointed at us or the Aeather. Sometimes we need to stepback. I don't know what was happening in the employees life today. But you can't bring it to work. Whatever happened made myexperience less than desired. But the food was excellent. Will not be dining again. I had the fettuccine it was delicious. Willnot dine again. Read more

I enjoyed my meal here. The menu is uncomplicated yet diverse. I had the oxtail pasta and an appetizer of fried calamari and... shrimp. The meal was tasty and satisfying for what one would want from an Italian cafe at this price point. The patio seatingis a wonderful place to sit amongst flowers and greenery on a warm sunny day. Excellent handmade pastas. Had the cacio e pepe, made with a nice, thick, tonnarelli, and the pappardelle with braised oxtail. ... Cioppino with sea bass, shrimp, mussels was tasty, and their signature meatball with braised beef cheeks was awesome (seepicture) Read more
