We were in the Chicago area for a week and this was by far the best place we went to for a beer. Great atmosphere and the... bartender Dave was the best and treated us like gold. We also got to chat with their other bartender Dan who was off duty and hewas also amazing. Would highly recommend this place, and their hot dogs were delicious! Read more
Good selection of drinks. Cozy inside area. Great outdoor spot if you're okay with a bit more surrounding hustle and bustle from... Division. Inside makes a nice reprieve, of course. Read more
Best beer selection I've come across!
The place is beautiful, has good music, decent beer selection, and a decent hotdog, but the servers were very rude, uninviting,... and not actually functioning as waitstaff. The sign on the patio says "please wait to be seated" like most places. There was noserver outside. As having never been here, I walked to the back of the restaurant to politely inquire if I should order food atthe bar and seat myself. The waitress responded in a very condescending manner and told me to sit somewhere and that she wouldcome to me. She never did. A male waiter came out about 5 minutes later and just greeted me by saying "ID". I was confused andput off as to why the servers seemed miserable and rude, especially since the place was at about 30% capacity... definitely notbusy.. I ordered a hotdog, but had to go inside to ask for condiments. I asked the bartender since I couldn't find a server. Thebartender was friendly and said okay. Still never got the condiments. I asked the server when I saw him 5 mins later if I had togo inside to get it myself or if he can bring it to me. I felt like I was a burden just by existing at this place. The placehas great music, beautiful decor, decent beer selection, but the Saturday afternoon waitstaff were deplorable. Great little neighborhood joint. Only came for the booze so can?t comment on food, though the wiener list looks good if you love... wieners (and there?s some veg). Solid beer and whisky list. Luis crushes it as a bartender. Helping you make decisions andproviding recommendations and conversation. Friendly joint with cool taxidermy. Read more
It was a pretty cool spot. Service was good. Felt that it would be a great spot to hang out with friends. Pretty good beer... options on tap. Food menu looked interesting but I couldn't try any food as kitchen was closed. Read more
If there was a list for places to avoid If you don?t want to experience a moment of ?the straw that broke the camels back? you?d... do well to avoid this place. Only instead of a straw, it?s a figurative bolder of pure frustration around how blatantly rude andunderwhelming the service is here. Not sure what the deal is but the reviews below that the business conveniently didn?tacknowledge are rooted in truth. On top of not having air conditioning leading it to be a place I?d avoid most of chicagosummer, again, I can?t emphasize enough how rude and miserable service is. Perhaps they pick and choose who they can muster upthe meager strength to do the bare minimum for. Tragic. Read more
