EXCELLENT! Service, atmosphere and food of course. Since we arrived to Avvio’s the staff was very friendly, the menu is very... impressive and easy to navigate we order sangrias and while we were reading the menu the chef send us a complementary pizzabread which was delicious, we ordered shrimp dejonge, shrimp Enzo and richard’s special and for dessert we had cannolieverything was so tasty and big portions. The head chef Joel came out to the dinning room to interact with his customers amdluckily we had the opportunity to talk to him. This is definitely the best Italian restaurant I have been in Chicago . We willdefinitely coming back. Read more
Fantastic food. Quaint. Great staff. The Chef-Owner came from closed Sabatino's. Only thing missing is the tacky total Chicago... decor of Sabatino's. Of course, it is the 21st Century!! Can't have everything! BYOB still OK. They just got their liquorlicense. Read more
Amazing - just go! Our server was running a little behind as he was supporting a large table (which was no issue for us as we... were still browsing the menu). They brought out an entire (small) loaf of bread. The other staff was consistently checking onus, filling our water, clearing plates, one brought an appetizer free of charge because of our “wait”. Our server was solovely - he was attentive and thoughtful. The food was divine - we ordered the tortellini and seafood medley linguini. On top ofall of that, the prices are incredible - we had two glasses of cab…$6 each! How?! Our final total would have been double if weat at RPM or any other overpriced Italian spot in Chicago. Absolutely visit and support this incredible, local gem! We’ll beback, time and time again ???? P.S. I saw others’ reviews mention BYOB.
