It was Taco Tuesday. I met a friend at Parish 14. Although we did not have reservations, the hostess found a table. She politely... told us we had 90 minutes to enjoy our meal. We ordered the Parish Punch and E.D. Blackberry Jungle Bird. Do not be fooled bythe cost of the Jerk Chicken, Seasoned Beef, and Baha Shrimp tacos. You are ordering street tacos. My cocktail was delicious,and the tacos were well seasoned. We stayed longer than 90 minutes, even though the restaurant appeared to be at capacity.Street parking is available for $5.00. Two hours is more than enough time. If you are looking for a Happy Hour place and TacoTuesday, try Parish 14. Cocktails are half-priced except for The Hyde Parker. Read more
Went out with a small group and it was a great time. I got the Caribbean wings and the jerk smoked chicken and both were great!... Nicolette our waitress was fun and friendly and made a great first experience. Would highly recommend this spot, also loved thevibe and crowd here! Read more
The food was absolutely delicious! I went for brunch so I'll be going again to experience dinner. I had the short rib omelet... along with the foster plantain pancakes...OMGGGG so good! Hands Down! Customer service was a 10!! And the drinks were 10+.Definitely a must try and I'll be a repeat this Summer for sure! Read more
Although I enjoyed 14 Parish - I couldn't give them 5 stars because the Jerk was very salty! It was good but salty! I will give... them another try to confirm! The vibe is there! 14 Parish is hands down one of the best Jamaican restaurants in Chicago. My husband and I stopped by on a week night to satisfy... our monthly Jamaican food craving. The wait time to be seated wasn’t that bad. Tables were spread out, masks were on andtables were being cleaned in between patrons. If you’ve ever ordered Jamaican then you know, there will always be a wait forthat good food. But it’s ALWAYS worth it!! We each got an order of catfish as well as an appetizer of jerk wings. So so good.The sauce is perfection, cabbage was flavored deliciously and the rice and beans were bomb. Of course I had to get a ginger beeron the side. For dessert we tried the fried dough. Another treat. Oh! And the cornbread muffins were chefs kiss. The bar waspacked with lots of libations and vibes. I’m looking forward to getting a cocktail next time. My friend and I patronized 14 Parish on February 12, 2022. We had a wonderful experience. Sara was our table host and she was... very attentive and kind. The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was very chill with nice music and positive vibes. Iordered salmon and my friend ordered catfish. The meat was covered in a jerk rub! We were both pleased with our food. Also, themacaroni and cheese is the best I ever tasted! I will definitely be back! Read more
Came here for a work get together and the place was great! The service was great, the food was delicious and just the overall... vibe was cool. really enjoyed the vibes, ambience, and food here! i ordered the jerk chicken and it was a little dry in some areas but overall... really tender and well-seasoned. cabbage side was tasty, though rice and beans were a little bland. overall great portions andleft feeling really satisfied!! Read more
