Nice atmosphere. Went in for lunch and had the wedge salad and soup of the day. The soup was chorizo corn chowder, was really... good but was served at a warm temperature. The wedge was crisp, loaded with cheese. Only half the bacon was cooked to my likingand the other half was just chucks of bacon fat. This was just an average lunch could have been better. Read more
Good bar and good drinks, good venue for large events. Bartenders are a bit slow, sorry guys but I was a bartender and could... have served that bar about 10 times faster without ignoring anyone. They were nice people, though and friendly, otherwise, so Ireally can't take anything away from them, otherwise. I'd go back and enjoy. Read more
Finally some proper food! It's not easy finding big salads around here. I got the Met Saled with chicken added a herb... vinaigrette and a balsamic reduction. So delicious! Ordered brussels for my starter, which were super flavorful. Even myson's burger and fries were great. I will be ordering from here regularly. Read more
This is such a hit or miss. Neither the food or the service is consistent. Last time we were in we were charged for a drink that... was sent back. I had to ask for an itemized bill to verify that we were indeed charged. The waitress assured us that they wouldcredit my card for the amount of the drink. I still have not been credited. On principal alone, this does not sit right withme. Way over priced for the food quality and the service. If you are willing to pay top dollar for ‘ambiance’… Iguess??? Not bad. Prime rib was amazing. Brussel sprouts were under seasoned. Truffle fries were not "truffle" fries at all, they were... cajun seasoned with a balsamic reduction. Very salty. The service was good. The bar area was very loud and made it hard tohear my own table talk. Beautiful room. I would give them another chance. Read more
Overall good time. Service was a good pace with a nice server. Worth the try and a return visit.
(5/18/2022) The Metropolitan was good, not great. Nice space. Had an early dinner (5:30 p.m.), sat at the bar, felt like we were... an imposition, asked if there was a “Happy Hour”, were told in a “matter of fact” way that there was (no HH menus aremade available thus the reasonable question), while we were still in the middle of our dinner we were asked if we were ready tosee the desert menu (NOT), had the Tuna Poke and the Crab Cakes. The bartender needs to launder her shirt and to remember howshe gets paid (we were two of four people @ the bar, obviously this is far too many customers to handle for this individual.Three stars is being nice. Based on this experience we will not return. Read more
Wow, sad. The waitress was great food! Th food was not! Sub-par at the most—tiny portions for what you are paying, and the... quality has gone downhill. My spouse and I had steaks. He got 12oz, and I got 6oz, and we laughed when we saw mine. It was sosmall and smaller than 6 oz. Both of our steaks were burnt. We asked for medium, not burnt. The loaded baked potato was sad andnot loaded. We got a salsa shrimp plate for an appetizer barely had any shrimp. Maybe 6 small shrimps and for $18!! That’sridiculous. This is the second time we have gone recently and it’s not worth the money. Expected high quality and decentportions for the this type of place and what you pay. This is our last time here. Read more
