Parthenon is a hidden Gem! I ordered the Lamb Chops and the Eggplant dip. I can attest as a lamb connoisseur, the quality of... these lamb chops are high end. Leave it to Greeks to cook lamb to perfection! Truly tastes like the lamb chops I had in Greece.It?s seasoned perfectly. And the eggplant dip was also just as phenomenal. Super fresh and pairs really well with the bread. Andby the way, I don?t know where they get their veggies from, but they are the freshest I?ve had at any restaurant. You can reallytaste the quality. The ambiance and vibe is also really nice. The staff here is super friendly and upbeat! Everyone seems veryhappy here and I love that energy. Just an overall cool spot with great food. They have an extensive menu that will pleaseanyone. I look forward to coming here more frequently and eventually trying everything else on the menu. Read more
The atmosphere is nice and the menu is diverse. The food is homemade and authentic. We really enjoyed the hot mixed appetizer.... Our seafood entree had overcooked shrimp and very undercooked jumbo scallops, which is why we're giving a 4 star review insteadof 5. It was also overpriced compared to other similar restaurants, but that had to do with location in DC as much as anythingelse. Regardless, I'd like to go back and try again. Read more
Spur of the moment decision to visit and we're so glad we did. Our picky dieter found lots she could eat and the rest of us went... all out with specials and specialities. The gyro was excellent, the kabobs were, too. I had scallops and linguini and they werehuge and outstanding. Our server was hilarious and very helpful with menu questions and recommended an outstanding Greek wine.[Note: the wine needed to breathe (I thought it had turned at first.). I hate leaving negative reviews, but I was very disappointed in the order I recently received from Parthenon Restaurant via... DoorDash. Pastitsio is generally my favorite meal, and for $20 I was expecting some great pastitsio from this restaurant.Unfortunately, when it arrived it was extremely greasy, very overdone, mushy, and bland. In addition, the accompanyingvegetables were too salty to be edible. I added a star because the free bread that arrived with my order was absolutelydelicious and the portions were generous. Read more

We tried Parthenon at the recommendation of a co-worker. The food was good. I had the soup of the day which was a seafood soup... and it was awesome - more like a seafood stew. Entree was shrimp dish with peppers and onions. Dessert was the baklava which wasexcellent. My wife wasn't too happy with the decor - she felt darker walls would have provided a cozy ambiance as opposed tothe white. But I didn't feel the same way.
