I hadn't been for ages, due to COVID. I realize now that I should have gone back ages ago! The food is delicious and the service... is excellent. I had the bento box lunch with mackerel and enjoyed every bite! Read more

Yosaku has been my family's go-to restaurant for years. We love that there is something for everyone: the meat-eaters, the... fish-lover, and the vegetarian. The vegetable sushi dinner, seaweed salads, bean sprouts, agedashi tofu, and teriyaki salmon areparticularly delicious. 10/10 recommend! Come support Yosaku! Read more

I?ve been going here for 40 plus years. And tonight was the first time that I?ve been just been disappointed. Over all the... sushi/maki was flavorless. The rainbow roll is now just panko on the inside - what are you paying extra for? The spicy doubleyellowtail had zero spice and was also stuffed with panko and poorly cut fish. Again why are you paying extra for a specialtyroll stuffed with panko. I hope they go back to the old ways. But for now, I will take my business elsewhere. Read more

I loved their Salmon avocado roll. It is rich and the avocado gives the creamy kick in which makes the texture of the bite... enjoyable. Eat while closing your eyes for a mindful eating experience. Read more

I was hoping to find a gem but unfortunately this was not it. The miso had no flavor and the sushi just tasted stale. I have no... clue what was on the roll either. Read more

This is the real deal if you're looking for really authentic Japanese food! There are some dishes here that you wont easily find... at your average Japanese restaurant, like sukiyaki or unagi. Definitely worth it to come here! Read more

Reasonable Japanese lunch at $9-12. On Mondays you'll get happy hour price all day, sushi (nigiri) $1 each. Sushi is a bit dry... but ok. Shimesaba sushi (mackerel seasoned in vinegar) is my favorite. Nabeyaki udon was great! One of the pitfalls was thebathroom. It was clean but the whole area near bathroom was stinky. Another was that they had hot tea but served us cold waterwithout asking. Read more

Great service, the waitress was very accomodating and very nice. The fastest we ever had Sushi deliver to the table. Food was... awesome!!! The environment was intimate and quiet. They have Happy Hour Sushi everyday from 5-7:30, too bad we got there late, but it was worth it. Whenever we come back to Washington DC, we're definitely coming back. Highly recommend it. Read more
