Although we live in calgary I think we have found a new local bar to go to. We have never been there before. We sat out on the... patio. Drinks were served very quickly by a friendly waitress. My husband had a pizza which he said was great he could actuallytaste the ingredients and toppings. I had the steak sandwich with a salad . The steak was wonderful and the salad wasdelicious. Moved to Chestermere a few months ago and I?ve already been here twice. Their spinach dip is the best I?ve ever had. I?m slowly... working my way through the menu and so far I haven?t found anything I haven?t loved. The pizza is crazy cheesy, so if you lovecheese it?s a dream. I'm torn on this spot. When we first moved into town, this place was amazing. We loved coming, and planned on being regulars.... Lately, this pub seems to get more and more run down. We came last night for a dinner date, and immediately when we sat down, Ithought it smelt like cigarettes. I thought it was maybe just another patron, so I shrugged it off. As people came in and out ofthe pub, I realized that there were people outside smoking closely to the door and it was wafting in. As an ex-smoker, this isimmensely distressing, and essentially ruined our dinner. The steak sandwich I had was surprisingly tender, and the cesar saladwas good. My husband ordered a Philly cheese steak and fries with gravy. We never got the gravy, the fries were way too crunchy,and the meat was dry. I have had their pizza in the past, and would order for carry out, but this will be the last time we comehere sadly. To me, having people smoking so closely to the door the smoke comes in is unacceptable, against city code, and makesit feel dirty, aged and gross. Edit. 4 stars because the burgers and pizza here are so good we have ordered take out a coupletimes since I left this review. Dockside Bar & Grill is our favourite restaurant when we visit Chestermere. The service is prompt and friendly, and the food is... always top notch. Both in the pub and in the patio area along the lake are spacious and welcoming. Highly recommended for aquality meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Read more
