Reviews for Fuoco Apizza in Cheshire, CT
The Pizza Gavones' review brought me here and Fouco's didn't disappoint. Fantastic pie and my son loved his chicken parmesan... grinder. I had the Vegetarian. The crust was delicious and just a little thinner than I prefer but it won't keep me from comingback anytime in in the area. Read more
What an awesome place! Serving delicious salads, pizzas and Foxon sodas! The pizza?s were so good, nice and thin! Our waitress... Alexis was very pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is nice and clean. Oh and it?s BYOB! Read more
Great New Haven style Pizza. Sauce is really good. The Dough Bites(balls) with either powdered sugar or sauce are reminiscent... of Carnival Pizza Read more
My girlfriend called & ordered 3 pizzas for a dinner party. None of our guests eat red sauce so she asked if the pizzas she... ordered were available with white sauce. When we got the pizzas home, 2 were red sauce based pizzas. When I called to speak withthe manager, I was told that the order was made as requested, going so far as to say 3 people were listening to the phone call(right.) We have never ordered red sauce pizzas, and have always clarified as to the availability of white sauce pizzas. The onewhite sauce pizza we did receive (clam) was burnt & charred & had to have entire sections cut out. At the end of the day, theteam at Fuoco?s insist they did not make any mistakes, even though my girlfriend was told the pizzas she ordered were whitesauce-based pizzas. A $90 mistake that the management has zero interest in rectifying due to ?communication error?. CheshirePizza will remain our place from here out. Make sure you spell things out for this pizza place, or else you too will have ahouse full of guests with nothing to eat & be out more money than the pizza is worth. Read more
We did take out, very good quality toppings and flavor on this clam pie and margherita. My critique on coal fired pizza is; at... times the oven can get too hot which does not allow for the dough to reach the ultimate crispness. Fuoco is very good Read more
This pizza rivals Pepe?s, if not better overall. I have had lots of pizza around CT including all of the New Haven style apizza,... and this one ranks up there with all of them. It was cooked just perfect, right amount of charred crust. If you order apizza, expect it to have charred crust to some degree, that?s the whole point. The people on the phone were very polite and easy toorder. The person who came out to bring to pizza to my car was also very nice. This is top notch pizza, will definitely becomea regular here. Excited to try the new place in town, disappointing they dont offer delivery since that was their first impression in Cheshire.... Ordered a large pie split in 2 with bacon and mushroom, and 10 mild wings. $35 seemed high but figured, ?must be worth it?.Drove 40 minutes to and fro to pick it up. Came home to decent wings (crispy, yet moist) and a charred, overcooked pizza. Yeah, crust was good but the cheese and toppings were black. What did I pay extra for again? I?d rather visit other local pizzajoints, but glad I tried it for myself at least once. Read more
Absolute Perfection! Let?s start with the most important part the crust and something you only get with a coal fired oven is... that crispy crust on the outside with little spots of charred on the bottom that you need two hands to hold one slice and atender dough on the inside. This dough has awesome flavor on its own but is topped with a perfectly seasoned crushed tomatomixed with what seems to be a blend of grated cheeses. The mozzarella that topped this pie was charred just enough to startbubbling brown, not chewy or greasy but silky smooth. My toppings were so fresh and perfectly cooked and the quality sausagethat they used was superb! Definitely a New Haven Apizza that will stand right along side the best of New Haven Apizza.
