I have been here about three times. Everytime. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is always spotless and clean. The... first time I went I had the seafood plater. That stuff was delicious. You coconut battered fish and shrimp. As well as choice ofanother meat. The last two times I have gone. I have gotten the chicken combo. It's Hawaiian BBQ chicken and chicken katsu. It'sa must try. I heard from others that there was new ownership recently and things had gone downhill since then. But I had to see it for... myself because this was my go-to Hawaiian spot in the area. Sadly, it was true. The first time I went it was 11:30am and theywere all out of chicken and beef. No awareness of inventory? Anyways I let it slide and came back a week later and they were outof bbq chicken. *face palm* So I got the chicken Katsu. And man when I tell you some of it was inedible. Over fried and driedout. I?m gonna post 2 photos, one is before new ownership the other is the chicken Katsu I got during my most recent visit.Sadly, this was one of the true Hawaiian staples in the area and the only reason why it gets 2 stars is because of what it useto be. Great place to eat Hawaiian style food. Its awesome to be able to get Spam Mushubi and a taste of Hawaiian comfort foods. Prices... are fair and service is quick and friendly staff. For a taste of Hawaii go to L&L Read more
I've had L&L since I was young and first time having it on the east coast. By far the saddest I've ever seen this. The wait was... long but that was to be expected for popularity but not for this. This was all the meat I got for a Mix BBQ plate and all thinpieces. Read more
Super cool spot to get some awesome Hawaiian food that?s pretty hard to find in this area. Learned it was a chain afterward,... although it doesn?t seem like a big chain - it?s just got all the best benefits with a well developed menu, very efficient, andhigh quality. Friendly staff, one of whom took the time and care to verify potential allergen exposure. This place has Dole whip! The house... made tea was just the right level of sweet for those who aren't looking for tea with their sugar. Unfortunately, there was amisunderstanding about whether we were dining in or carrying out so we were served in take out containers. I'll definitely beback for a round two to try again. Read more
We went for restaurant week and had the Hawaiian sampler, the food was delicious. It came with BBQ chicken, beef, fried chicken,... and shredded pork! Every bite was so tender and seasoned perfectly.
