07/14/22 We came for dinner. They didn't have any lemonade so my kids drank orange juice and my husband & I drank water (so... disappointing). The dip was okay. My husband said his coleslaw was very dry (driest we've ever tasted). I did not like my Mahimahi tacos at all..something in them tasted like they came out the fridge (if u know what I mean, so I removed the fish and atesome pieces with A1 sauce, but thank God the fries were really good, cause if not I would've starved, but one of my daughter'ssaid she loved her steak and salad. The best!!! This place is one of my absolute favorites!!! The environment/atmosphere, the drinks (especially the caramel apple),... but most of all the chicken fried chicken. I would eat here every day if I could. Also pictured is their Monte Cristo, which ishands down the best one I've ever had. The batter is like funnel cake batter. It's soooo good!!! On 10.15.21, around 5:45pm, myself and two others entered Big Chill and Grill in hopes of a decent dinner. We were quickly... seated, and a server, Jennifer took our drink orders. She barraged us with appetizer choices as soon as we were seated, beforeeven giving us time to look at the menu. It felt like we were forced to order an appetizer. With every interaction she wasextremely too ?intimate? calling us babe and honey multiple times. Once we had a chance to look at the menus, we noticed thedrink menu was absolutely covered in mold. We ordered chips and queso as an app, which was fine. For entrees we ordered aburger, fish and chips, and chicken fettuccini. The chicken dish was extremely runny, and the chicken resembled and tasted likecanned chicken. The fish and chips was plain and unremarkable. The burger had multiple hairs on the tomato slices, which wereNOT touching the burger. When the server was informed, she took the plate back, claiming that she would have the kitchen remakeit and the manager would come to our table, without any discussion or asking what I wanted done. About 10 minutes later, themanager came back and said that she looked into the situation and discovered that the hairs were from the ?grill brush?. Allthree of us have multiple years in commercial kitchens. Grill brushes are made of metal, and the bristles are straight. As seenin the picture, is not metal, nor straight. Not once did the manager apologize. She decided to lie about it. Neither of theother two were able to finish their meals after losing their appetites through this ordeal. The manager offered to have itremade even after I explained that I had lost my appetite and trust. She walked away. 8-10 minutes later our server finally cameto our table. When I requested the check, she claimed she would send the manager back. We waited even longer, while we could seethe manager in another area. Our server came back and I demanded the check, again. Amazing food, strong drinks, and superb service anytime I go. Locally owned and operated, and I love how the owner gets... involved and really makes sure her restaurants are top notch. Karaoke, trivia, good music, and a heated smoking patio out back. It?s definitely one of my favorite places when I?m downtown. Edit: Ask for Lauren, she?s cool as hell! Read more
