This was a great little place with some fun takes on some traditional dishes/sandwiches, but also unique dishes too. I was... extra impressed by the quality of the lentil patty on the patty melt as well as the overal deliciousness. I am definitely a carnivore at heart, but I definitely love my vegetables as well. I was in the area, and figured why not give... it a try as the reviews were positive and the pictures looked mouth watering. I ordered the Deluxe Club, and I can say without adoubt, that the taste lived up to the pictures. I would definitely come back to try the other interesting items on the menu. Myonly suggestion is a larger area for dine in service, and maybe half portions, considering how much food you get. I?d rather pay$10 for half a Deluxe Club, than $15 for a whole one that I can?t finish, but that?s just me writing a Google review, becauseeveryone is a critic. This place is AWESOME. Read more
Just gave Sluggo?s another shot after a two year hiatus and I was glad I did. My first experience wasn?t the best, but it was at... the height of the pandemic. I never left a review because I felt I could not fairly judge them on that experience alone. Thistime, everything was really good! The club sandwich is something I could see myself getting pretty often. The wings flavor wasgreat, texturally was a little weird on some of the bigger pieces, but still good. I got this tofu Thai chili bowl and it was pretty darn good! The breaded tofu is gluten free! Yay for vegan and gluten-free... options in Chattanooga! I don't think there's many other places you can go and have a couple choices of vegan and gluten free inthe city. Small indoor eating area and outdoor eating area and very friendly staff! They also have some punk shows and musicdown below sometimes. I overheard it's one of the oldest restaurants in the area! We heard great things about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. The food was average. We could only order from the... Sunday brunch menu which was limited. The food was healthy but not very flavorful. We ordered the cast iron blackened tofu,which was served over grits and migas - a baked tofu scramble topped with vegan queso and salsa, served with corn tortillas. Theservice was good. Read more
Great visit overall! The location is easy to find with plenty of parking behind the establishment. I liked the atmosphere and... the food was tasty. I had the Culture Club and the Spicy Cheeky Wings. The club was a really good vegan sandwich!! It's nice tobe able to get a vegan deli style sandwich and chips at a reasonable price that is most importantly delicious. I was excited totry Sluggo's North after searching for vegan restaurants in the area and specifically wanted to try the Culture Club which didnot disappoint. The Cheeky Wings caught my attention on the menu as well so I ordered some on this visit. They were not spicy tome but they had a wonderful flavor profile and the texture was perfect. The dressing served with them complimented the flavor ofthe wings very well. I plan to try other menu items when I visit Chattanooga again. The staff were friendly and helpful.
