It breaks my heart to give this place only 4 stars! We have visited 10 times at least and it's been absolutely wonderful. Our... fave Mexican food in Chattanooga, hands down. We visited a few days ago and were disappointed. The food was served barelywarm. By far the worst experience we have had at Poblanos. I hope this was a fluke and will not be their new trend. That beingsaid, please try this place! This was the first disappointment we have had in many visits. The food is much different than theusual bland Mexican fare offered by most restaurants in this area. We are from Arizona and know good Mexican food and on anormal day, this is where we find it! We?ve been going to Poblano?s since it opened years ago and it?s always been a favorite. However, the current owners have really... stepped it up. We?ll best a couple of times for brunch recently and have had first class meals. They have the best tortillachips around. Sturdy and perfect taste. Same for the guacamole. Today we ordered a bacon & egg quesadilla, enchiladas, and hueis divircianadas. All very tasty. Highly recommend! Read more
Great food. OK service. Dirty table. To the owner. Clean the tables after people eat. Our round outside table was filthy last... night! I would be ashamed to set some customer at dirty tables. I would have given you a 5 star rating if it had been clean! Read more
We wanted to eat lunch here and the hostess was extremely rude, rolling her eyes at us when we changed our mind from eating... outside (it?s over 90 degrees outside and we thought it would be cooler than it was) to inside. We hadn?t ordered or anythingand it was not busy. Shouldn't have been a big deal. Yet, this little girl ROLLED HER EYES at us. Didn?t even try to hide herannoyance (and I still don?t get what she was even annoyed at). What a shame. I guess this restaurant is doing enough goodbusiness that they can afford to lose customers. I ordered food from Poblanos, deciding to finally have it after over 2 years without it. I heard it was under new management (I... worked at Poblano's a few years back) and was excited to try it again. A few bites into my burrito, which I already thoughtwasn't great, there was a SHARP chicken bone. I bit down on it and almost cracked a tooth. It was also VERY sharp, which wouldhave injured or choked me had I swallowed it. I threw all the food away immediately due to a lack of their quality control. I was served the wrong bar beverage and my entree was also incorrect. I accepted both because I hate to see food wasted, but no... one ever checked to see how my meal was so it's a good thing I decided to eat it. My wife and I are originally from South and southeast Texas, and as such, have been blessed to grow up with excellent... traditional Mexican food, as well as Tex Mex. This little hole in the wall in Chattanooga is, by far and large, the bestMexican food we've been able to find since moving to this region.
