Everything was delicious and Richard was SUPER efficient and nice. I was so so happy to hear the patio allows dogs, so my two... dogs were happy campers. We even got a water bowl for them to enjoy while we ate. The French Dip was melt-in-your-mouth good,and the side Caesar salad was one of the best I?ve ever had. Prices were more than reasonable and a good variety of prices toaccommodate guests of all financial backgrounds. We will absolutely be back!!! Read more

While on a spur of the moment trip, decided to eat here on a holiday weekend. They normally took reservations only, but may have... something at 9p. After a bit more walking we came back 10 mins early and were sat promptly. The interior is polished, clean andmodern with a very upscale feel. Wanted to try the bread but were out but arriving late and without reservation I won?t makethat an issue. The waitress was very attentive checking back frequently, and got the orders and good out promptly. I orderedthe filet and it was cooked beautifully rare. Also enjoyed the torte with the berry coulis. It was very busy and a holidaynight so I will forgive my only complaint. Everything was salted a bit too liberally, but over all a great meal, and for whatyou are recieving priced well. Read more
Elsa was amazing. Very sweet and attentive! I enjoyed the atmosphere and my meal was great! Had salmon dip app. and steak salad.... Large drink selection ? the tropical cowboy definitely is delicious & white wine ( dr Herman) was so refreshing and paired wellwith steak salad. We came here on Valentine?s Day and perhaps that is not the best representation of how good a restaurant is because they were... busy. I?ve heard from many people they like dining at old Gilman grill and although my experience was good it wasn?t anythingextra special. I had the hanger steak with fries which was good but too salty. They had run out of the dessert I would?ve likedso settled on the chocolate mousse which was average. Service at this restaurant was not great, I felt like there was pressurefrom the servers to have a quick turnover for the tables. We were rushed throughout the meal with being asked for our drinkorder as soon as we sat down before we even looked at a menu. Overall it was a great experience and we would come again. The reason I am subtracting a star is because the hangar steak we... got was raw in the middle as it had a purplish color, the Caesar salad dressing got watered down because the lettuce was wet,and the description for the butternut squash ravioli was just drenched with cream sauce which should have been in thedescription. Also the braised lamb dish needs a mashed potato or something to help cut through the richness. One piece oftoast just doesn't do it. I know it was a lot of issues but the restaurant did immediately fix anything that wasn't right thatwe asked them to do but some of the items we just went ahead and ate because we were starving. The best thing we had was theFrench dip. It's one of the best ones I've had in a while. The Gilman salad was also very good. The drinks they made weredelicious and the service was on point. It was a very nice restaurant. Been there twice when they have event in Chattanooga which is the Motorcar Festival. Nice... ambiance and good customer service, very accommodating. Every food that we order was fantastic. The best ravioli I've ever had(yummy ????). That bacon wrapped dates was surprisingly good, never had that before. My husband really like that french deepwhich is I think there best seller, it so tasty. Can't wait to go back. Keep it up guys. Read more
Lunch was delicious! Love the atmosphere, it was great for a nice weekday lunch. We were celebrating so had a couple drinks as... well, the French 75 was perfect. Enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Dip, Prime Rib Po Boy and Le Bourdain sandwich. Looking forward tocoming back for dinner! Read more
