We?ve driven past this restaurant for 2 years and are kicking ourselves for missing out on the best fried catfish we?ve ever... eaten! This diner is billed as food good for the soul and the slogan is spot on. The catfish came in two huge portions, batteredin cornmeal, hot and crispy. I had the Mac and cheese, which was baked as a casserole that was so creamy and cheesy, along withthe fried cabbage. I could have made a meal out of the perfectly cooked cabbage with seasoning; it was delicious. The cornbreadmuffin was warm with a wonderful balance of sweet and savory. We will be back for the smoked ribs for sure. Our bill for twocatfish dinners and cokes was $33 with tip. Read more
Service was good. The fried pork chops was great.
My husband and I decided to get Sunday dinner and we landed here.. He ordered the southern fried boneless chicken, greens and... fried corn.!!! I ordered the Chicken and dressing, Mac and cheese, and greens and a roll/corn muffin with each. Everything waswell seasoned, full of flavor and tasted delicious.. Absolutely crazy good food. Genuinely upset with myself for not discovering this spot sooner. Highly recommend the fried... catfish, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. Add a pink lemonade on top of that, and you?ll be impervious to any August day. Can?twait to come back again! Read more

Yep, my takeout plate from Haven?s Chattanooga is almost finished in the pic. Reason? Just too good to wait. This was my first... of many times eating at this diner, which was suggested by another pleased customer. I had the fried whiting, cabbage, pintobeans, and cornbread. DELICIOUS. The wait was short although it was on a Saturday, atmosphere was pleasant, price was on point,staff was friendly, and again, the meal was to die for. I don't know what to not say about Havens Diner! We wanted some soul food to finish our vacation and we made the right decision.... This should food was AMAZING!! The pork chops were fried perfectly and seasoned! The baked chicken had just the right amount ofcrisp. Everything was great! Sorry, I thought I had the pork chops pictured :(.
