One of the most unique breakfast places I have been to. The decor matches well with the middle of a neighborhood location on the... north shore. The breakfast was tasty and the pancake was MASSIVE. parking can be at a premium as it?s almost exclusively streetparking. I LOVE Aretha Frankensteins. I used to come here when I was in college. Now, 18 years later, the place is still pretty much the... same. The food is great, and the atmosphere is amazing. My kids loved the pancakes. If it's busy, there may be a wait sincethere is limited seating. They also have a small wait staff and kitchen crew so you must be patient with the service. Your foodwill definitely be worth the wait. Read more
We visited 6/15, and sat outside with our dogs. They are well behaved, but we know it?s not always the easiest for restaurants... to accommodate? this place was amazing for our pups! They brought out two water bowls, and a fresh piece of bacon (afterchecking with us). Our server was awesome to them. Even though they were out of what I?d planned on ordering, everything we hadwas awesome (get the pancakes!). We were seriously impressed. If we were visiting for longer, I?m 100% certain we?d be back.Next time we?re in, for sure! Read more
Was aimlessly driving through Chattanooga and got a little off the beaten path, in fact it seemed we were in a... neighborhood. Surprisingly what I thought was a bed and breakfast was the most interesting, cool spot to grab a drink andbrunch. The brunch was tasty and very filling plus the ability to dine outdoors on a beautiful day made it a 5 starexperience. Thanks Aretha Frankenstein! Read more
Severely short staffed when we visited. Food was good. Not great but good. The unique pancakes were pretty good. Omelet was... blah. Cozy and unique place. My food was cold when it got to my table so I have to assume another day might be better. Stillgave it 4 stars. Read more
Dining here is a whole experience in itself. I came on a Sunday morning for breakfast and was told it was an hour wait, which... luckily it was closer to 35 min. The service was very slow and the menu does warn you that your meal can take up for 30 min forpreparing your meal since they have a small kitchen. The food was very good I got the Philly omelette and the pancake with theblueberry melange. It?s definitely a fun place to visit as the restaurant has a different vibe and the food is very good! Sooo glad our son recommended this place to us!! Loved everything about it. Their decor. The food. The service. Had to have the... pancakes, and they didn't disappoint. Great flavor and crusty all around ???? I totally agree with the cover of their menu.That's why I took a pic. It is indeed a small restaurant but it's amazing! So go with a good attitude and don't give them a hardtime if you have to wait. Just enjoy! Read more
This place is so cute! If you have never heard of it, or aren?t paying attention, it?s a place you?ll drive right by! But we saw... it and decided to try it. it?s a small place, so wait times can be a little long. Ours wasn?t too bad, a 45 minute wait onlyended being about 30 minutes. It?s very clean and the staff is super nice! Do not go in expecting quick food because everythingis made to order. Chai Tea Latte was okay, not much flavor. I did add an espresso shot so maybe that?s why. Biscuits were dry,we ended up only eating the egg and sausage out of it, which the egg was good, sausage just okay. The egg and bacon plate lookdelicious, and definitely try the potatoes. The omelette looked amazing and my boyfriend said it was delicious. One thing, oncewe got our food, the waitress never came back to check on us. Had to wait a while before another girl came and we had to ask fora to go box and the check. It was then the waitress finally came back to bring it to us. I probably wouldn?t go back forbreakfast, but I think I?d definitely give them another try and order their lunch!
