Quick service, nice staff and pretty decent food, I got the steak in a sack, it was good! the pita bread was soft and the meat... well seasoned and tender, all the food was delivered hot. I have no complaints, I would come back on craving times. Read more
In town for a visit, had lunch here with one of my best friends. I used to visit Ankar's a lot before I moved away from town.... Was just like old times. The food was just like I remembered. We're on a quest to find the perfect Gyro (Greek sandwich) in Chattanooga and we came closer at Ankar's. The meat is absolutely... the most flavorful and tender I've had anywhere. It is served with grilled onions, tomatoes and Tazinki sauce, sprinkled withwhat I thought may be oregano. It is served in pita bread, which I will say may have been a tad bit better if it were grilled.My husband had the chili, which was thick and loaded with meat. He said the flavor was excellent. The onion rings were very hotand crispy with thick slices of onion. When you enter the building, the first thing you will notice is the decor is dated, butthen it will strike you that this is one of the cleanest restaurants you will walk into. We were there just after the height ofthe lunch rush and the tables were gleaming and floors spotless. I look forward to returning to try one of their hoagies. Read more
Enjoyed my lunch here today. I have been wanting a fafael from here. Not many places offer fafaels. The food was very good. I'm... thankful that Ankars Restaurant is in the Harrison area. I have gone to Ankars since my childhood! And they pride themselves on being the best! No questions asked. But this past weekend... I spent 40 bucks on trash food! And they won't answer their phone to reconcile the matter. I will never go back to thatlocation and I hope you will heed my warning too. Read more
