We went here for a birthday dinner and were very satisfied. The restaurant is large, with patios on the front and back of the... building. We sat in the front and it was nicely blocked by any weather. Our service was good, the waiter checked on usperiodically with regards to apps and drinks. The drinks were good sized portions for their money and so was the food. Eachentree came with bread for the table, a soup or salad and then your main course. Featured in the photos is the pistachiocrusted salmon and a seafood lemon garlic fettuccine which was the special that evening, both were very delicious. I also gotthe chance to try the beef tip and mushroom pasta and it was very good as well. Highly recommend for a night out with the girlsor a date night. My husband took me here tonight for my Birthday as we had heard exceptional reviews. This was hands down the most delicious meal... We have both had and now our favourite restaurant. Went for my birthday dinner, while we were away at a cottage. Fantastic experience. Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Lovely... decor and atmosphere. Our service was exceptional. We have a toddler and she was great about getting us a high chair, gettingbread and our little ones food out quickly. The food was phenomenal! The portions are very generous and we had leftovers. Only Recommend if you really want some Italian in a small town and is aware of the large quantity of food with alright taste. To... start, the restaurant has some pretty cute wall painting of Italian scenes. The servicer seems to be nice enough, but felt likeI was he was upselling. We walked in late at 8pm, I told the server that we want a light dinners. I ordered a seafood pasta(comes with a side), a small caprese salad and a calamari. I asked him twice about the size of the dishes and saying that we arenot that hungry. He assured me that it will be fine. Normally if the size is not huge, my order should be ok for two. However, Iwas very wrong. The small caprese salad was four huge pieces of cheese and tomato, calamari ( mixed with jalapeños etc) was 3times the size I thought it would be, and the Pasta came with two person?s portion with full size soup. It was no where near?lighter?.I did mention to the waiter about the huge portions, he joked about ?it is a good problem to have??.. he also tried todown play the size of the pasta after I commented on the large size of the ?appetizer??..having too much food or with potentialwaste and being lied to, none of these are a good problem to have. Now, the food. The full size soup (Italian wedding) was a bittoo salty. Calamari was pretty decent. The pasta was definitely not Al dente, flavour of the sauce was alright, two largeshrimp, fresh muzzle but mixed with tiny and not so fresh scallop. Overall, a decent local place to visit, but please be awareof portion control if you care about that kind of stuff. I try to be objective about my experience on the service and the food. Read more
My wife and I went to Mamma Maria?s for dinner and it was a wonderful experience. We haven?t been in about 3 years so we were... very happy to see the quality was still excellent. Our server was polite and friendly. The food was delicious. Added bonusthey have Bayside Brewery beer! We will definitely be back. Read more
I have used Momma Maria's takeout menu TWICE for my bridal shower and my bachelorette party, and they are nothing but truly... *awesome.* The quality of the food is top tier and for what you pay for you get so much and more! The food was a hit for all ofmy guests and everyone got to take leftovers home and raved about it to me days later. Shout out to Michael in Management forhis excellent customer service and for pointing me in the right direction for my food selections!! Celabtrated our 25th wedding anniversary dinner. It was fantastic from the freindly waitress .... app. dinner....and... dessert...Oooh lets not forget the wine. Definetly worth the hour drive from Windsor to Chatham. Read more
