Reviews for The Old Triangle in Charlottetown, PE
We were very grateful they took us in at 9:40pm for dinner. Unfortunately I wasn?t the biggest fan of their food. I thought... their shrimp pasta has far too much sauce and their chowder tasted meh. Their fried shrimp and service was great though. Read more
Do NOT sleep on the Old Triangle for a good old fashioned Irish pub experience with the cozy Irish draw, a delicious menu, great... brews, and awesome service. Old Triangle never fails to fill my belly with good food and my face with a big ol smile to sharewith the friends who went with me. Great menu with lots to pick from and everything is so delicious and well made! Definitelyrecommend any of the Burger Love burgers (Ahem pot of gold burger is banginggg!) and the fries are SO GOOD (regular and sweettater options, both delicious). One of my recent favs is the Mojo Verde summer salad with steak, a huge platter with romaine, basmati rice, crispy chickpeas, grilled veg (peppers, onion, tomato) and steak (or chicken/shrimp) done to your liking with adelicious verde herb salsa over it. The beverage and alcohol menu is always great with local brews and some fantastic winesavailable. Live music many night, 1/2 price app deals, and service is always so friendly. Old Triangle is definitely a staplespot for the locals Read more
Excellent pub atmosphere. One of the best burger and fries I ever had. The patty was cooked perfectly, seared on the outside and... a juicy medium well interior. The fries had a crispy exterior with a tender interior and seasoned well. The Guiness was perfect. The staff were friendly and prompt and the prices were fair. The old Triangle definitely did not disappoint. Read more
We are visiting PEI and while walking along. We came across The Old Triangle pub. So we decided to stop in for an early dinner.... It was a nice surprise that they had some authentic Irish music being played by musicians. We grabbed a high table in the back.A cold beer and a bowl of seafood chowder was on the menu for me. The wife got a half sandwich and a cup of the chowder. I havebeen sampling chowder all over NS for the last week or so. I can say without a doubt, that this was the best seafood chowderI've had in a while. I truly enjoyed my dinner as did the wife. The beer was pretty good also! Our server was wonderful andfriendly. She helped make our visit much better than it could have been. This was a truly nice surprise I wasn't expecting whenstrolling along and coming across this nice pub. But I'm so glad we decided to enter and give them a try. Read more
Great experience, a large "Family" band played Celtic instrumental pieces, very talented musicians.
Came to the Triangle house on Sunday for dinner. We ordered fish cakes and fish tacos and sat on the patio sipping out Caesars... while we waited. The food was VERY bland. The fish tacos came out and looked so beautiful (great presentation) but you could eata piece of unseasoned fish on plain lettuce and have the same effect. I ordered fries with it with their curry mayo and that wasexcellent. My mom said her crab cakes were okay and the house salad dressing was very good. The patio is spacious and they havedone a good job with decor it just unfortunately backs on to a kind of gross alley. Maybe they should consider putting up agreen wall or something when the season picks up to elevate the experience. Overall it was fine but I wouldn't rush back. Read more
Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. And we loved our burgers and draught too !!
I?d say this place should be around a 4.5 star. I had the burger with sweet potato fries. Burger was great, fries were good, and... curry dip for the fries was lovely. One of the best meals I had in PEI. Also, the server was very friendly, so that?s a bonus. All this at a reasonable price, would highly recommend Read more
