Restaurant was one of the ones recommended by the hotel front desk. Staff are not well trained. First time I have been at a... restaurant where I ask for a table and was told they are full and the person just walked away. It?s obvious the host are notwell trained. Food was a,so not very good in general. Steak and fries were very over salted. Quality of seafood was passable butnot great. Server was friendly but attention to detail was not great. I?m not sure if it is usually like this but managementis not doing a great job in ensuring staff are welled trained and food quality is up to standard for the price they arecharging. Do not go ? went there for lunch on a Friday. Food and service were both horrible. The waitress made it clear she did not want... to be there ? never once came to check in on us and had to track down another waitress to get our bill. We sat outside so pestswere hovering all over our finished food plates. The chowder was lukewarm and thick; the mussels were over cooked; and the frieswere all burnt. We were out walking in search of a restaurant. We came across this gem of a place. The food was fantastic great prices and... Shannon our waitress was top notch. Stopped twice for drinks. Friendly staff, but got a little attitude when we declined the food menu prior to a show we were going... to. Took them more than 10 minutes to bring our drinks. On the other side, we had 2 nice waiters asking us if we were ok a fewtimes ( not our waitress). As we were going for dinner on a Saturday night, because it was highly recommended, they were closedfor inventory! Why would you close on a Saturday during tourist season? Read more
What a horrible business. We had heard good things about this restaurant and decided to phone early in the afternoon to make a... reservation, we were told that they did not reserve tables on weekends but we should be fine if we were there before 6. When wegot there well before 6 there was empty tables, apparently reserved! After asking the host about how we were told over the phonethat no reservations were made on weekend he confirmed this. A group of three came in after us and were asked if they had calledand were promptly seated at a table. When we asked the host why we could not get a table seeing as the group got seated (we werethere first) he said that they had called 10 minutes earlier to reserve but he could make a reservation for us next weekend(although he just stated that they do not do reservations on weekends). We are from out of province so next weekend is not goingto work. While we were walking away the host yelled ?Welcome to the island? at us!! I called and asked for a manager but wastold that there is no manager available until Tuesday! Left my name and number. I have doubts that I will hear from them. Ihave notified the people who recommended this pathetic place of our experiences there. Google should have the option of leavingno stars, that would be my choice. Read more
Jennifer runs a great house. Super friendly staff, (especially Simon!) terrific patio and a fab selection of wines, beers and... cocktails. Try the scallops any way you can. Good steak, fun entrees. Go there! Read more
Had the Old Fashioned Burger with side of fries. Burger was great and was one of the best I've had! Fries were good but portion... was very tiny. Friends I was with had Fish N Chips and they were quite happy with their meals too. Couldn't order a Martinibecause the bartender wasn't in until later in the evening which was disappointing.
