If you are on the waterfront in Charlottetown, don't hesitate to go get a coffee and something with it. I had a cinnamon bun... and cheese biscuit and only managed 1/3 in a sitting. But no problem they give a little carton so will eat the rest later. Thecoffee is flavorful without being overwhelming bitter. So good! Read more
Being from KW Ontario we were staying in PEI for a week. The family and I payed a visit here a few times. Great service and... amazing treats. Maple Apple Fritter was the only thing done right. This review is coming from someone whose hobby is to try different gourmet... donuts when travelling and visiting other towns. Hailing from Ontario, I was excited to try Donuts by Design. Their donutsfollow a yeast or cake base, and the cake base was not really good. My children did not even finish their own donuts. The cakebase is cinnamony, and all of the donuts flavours seem to taste the same. $39 for a dozen, and disappointed. The yeast donut wasokay, but we have eaten better for a better price. The only donut we liked out of the entire dozen was the Maple Apple Fritter.To me, if you go, do not order a dozen, way too expensive, and try the winner, MAF. Read more
Delicious donuts and surprisingly tasty coffee. Basic black coffee had a gentle caramel flavor to it! We got the apple donut... cookies and cream donut, both fresh and worked for our appetizer. They do have limited hours due to being part of the food hall,but overall would recommend if you're here for a quick stop. Read more
