We had a generous meal with pulled chicken and bbq pork. The two proteins we had are seasoned the same way?we suspect they were... brined with some kind of vinegar, but both very juicy and tender. We had the sauce sampler and every single one of them are verysour. Adding all the sourness together is a little too much for our taste. The reviews and photos on google sold us on buying lunch from here. We ordered through DoorDash, our dasher was perfect. But our... food was a completely different story. This brisket was shocking. It was so dry and hard, I could barely squish a piece betweenmy fingers. Called to ask about a partial refund, the guy who answered the phone was really nice and apologized but told us wehad to get a refund through DoorDash. Every person in our party of four LOVED the food! My husband still raves about the homemade pickles and stated it was the best... BBQ he?s had to date. The brisket is AMAZING and the pulled pork is super tasty and not dry! I got Carolina sauce to go with mypulled pork sandwich and didn?t even need to use it because the sandwich was so moist and flavorful on its own. Come check thisplace out! From the first moment you step out of the car and smell the meat smoking in the parking lot, you?ll know you made theright choice! We?ll definitely be back with more family and friends! Read more
Brisket and burnt ends were out of this world. Easily as good as what I?ve eaten in KC. Pork was very good but the brisket is... the star. Chipotle pimento was a nice, Virginia touch. Read more

Incredible. The brisket is the best food I have had on this 1.5 month long trip to the US. And I have had a number of amazing... steaks, burgers, sandwiches, crab cakes and BBQ... tender, smoky, juicy, meaty, salty, fatty, with crispy / flaky exterior. Ialso had the hot mess sandwich which was huge and amazing. Will be back many many times. Great friendly staff and quick servicetoo. Edit: been back many times. The hot mess sandwich is simply a 10/10. It has it all.. A toasted bun slam-packed with perfectly smoked meat, layered with... unobtrusive, yet complimentary sauces - a perfect balance of acid, salt, fat, and heat. The house made pickles also had adimension of flavor I hadn?t tasted before. I thought I was just going to have a solid sandwich, not have a full symphony playon my tastebuds. This is the best bbq. I love the brisket sandwich. I?m not usually one who loves smoked chicken but theirs is so good I?m... hooked on it. I go in for one sandwich and come out with brisket, pork and smoked chicken every time. Their red sauce isabsolutely phenomenal. Read more
