The macaroni and cheese was cold. My moms pulled chicken was ice cold. The fish was dry and bland & Fried entirely too hard. the... corn had cinnamon or brown sugar or something very disgusting in it. The corn bread was dry and small as a post it sticker. Thegreens were okay.. tasted like they were canned rather than fresh. For $75 I could?ve done ALOT BETTER. waste of money. Iwouldn?t waste my time going here. First things first: this place is fabulous. We are from Texas and were missing the comfort foods, so we stopped by to try it... out. The food here tastes like home and we can't wait to come back again. The staff is wonderful and we had a great experience.They have something really special here. Things to know: The fish and chicken are fried skin-on, so if that's not your thing,plan accordingly. Outdoor seating is available, which may be a good option if you arrive later in the day. The indoor space canbe pretty warm if you don't sit by the window, and there is not a lot of indoor seating for larger parties. Read more

My first time here. Lunch. I ordered the Soul Platter with fried chicken, coleslaw, corn bread and deviled eggs. Talk about... home cooking! Every single item is delicious -- the chicken is cooked perfectly, the cornbread has a sweetness with (dare Isay) a drop of vanilla! What a treat. The deviled eggs are a tasty mayonnaise/mustard with light herbs. I will be back again,and again! There is a family dinner for four on the menu.
