For a chain, this food was really good! Even for a non-chain place, I'd be impressed. Mezeh is essentially the Chipotle for... Mediterranean food. There are so many toppings to choose from. I decided on the bulgur with vegetable base, couscous topping,crunchy chickpeas, caramelized eggplant, tahini sauce, chickpea salad, shredded lamb, crumbled feta, Turkish yogurt dip, andchicken shawarma. The bowl was super tasty, and not that expensive given the more than adequate portion and extremely highquality ingredients. You can taste and even see the freshness. The staff was super efficient as well, and the inside of therestaurant is quite nice. The shredded lamb was the perfect texture and was extremely flavorful. I enjoyed the chicken shawarmaas well (they also had a spicy variety). The Turkish yogurt dip was refreshing and didn't have an overpowering cucumber flavor.The eggplant was a bit sweet and almost creamy; definitely delicious. Chickpea salad was super fresh, and the crunchy chickpeaswere also a great textural addition. Even the base had some carrots and raisins in it that contributed to the flavor. They evengive you free pita with a bowl, and it was fluffy and perfect. All in all, this is a great place to get lunch or dinner if youwant some Mediterranean food. We spent $50 on this order and there?s no sauce in any of the bowls. I clearly selected Harissa sauce for them all. And I have... asked for Shug sauce on the side in the notes. Didn?t get that either. My husband was dismissed when he asked about sauce duringpickup. We had issue with our previous order as well. I have emailed and didn?t hear back at all. Very disappointed. I love this no frills, quick (if you miss the lunch rush), healthy meal when I'm on the go. So flavorful and a fun cuisine to... explore. Only complaint is they give you a plastic top for your bowl even if you're dining in. It would be nice if they'd askand make a slight effort to care about the environment. On that note, it would be cute if they offered reusable forks for saleso you could have the option to get a cute mezzeh bamboo fork instead of a plastic fork inside a plastic bag. A girl can dream!
