I ordered 10 dozen donuts for my wedding and they were amazing. The manager, Kiara, was a delight to work with and extremely... professional. They delivered them to our venue an hour away and everything went seamlessly and they were a huge hit with ourguests. All for way less than the price of a wedding cake! Read more
I normally enjoy getting Duck Donuts from this establishment, but today was a disappointment. We went in to try the St Patricks... day assortment and on the advertisement for the donut pack, the lucky charm donuts had at least 5-6 or more marshmallows on eachdonut. So, thinking we were getting the donuts that were advertised, we ordered the pack. When we went to look at the donuts,the person in charge of our order was trying to quickly put on the lid so we couldn't see what we were getting. We asked to lookat them closer. Begrudgingly, she showed us the donuts. Two of the lucky charm donuts did not have a single marshmallow on them,and the other lucky charm had one single marshmallow. We asked her "where are the marshmallows?" she said "oh, we're out". Thenmy mom noticed more lucky charm marshmallows in a container and said "but what about those over there?". The employee then actedway bothered and way annoyed with us, grabbed the container and put a measily two marshmallows on each of the other lucky charmdonuts. She was acting like we were the problem for her company's lack of product. May be taking our business elsewhere with thesnootiness thats at Duck Donuts nowadays. On my most recent order they made 2 mistakes out of 6 donuts, which is a 33% error rate. Or, you could say with glazes and... toppings and such that there were 20 items involved in my order if which they missed 2, which is a 10% error rate. 10% isbetter, but still not 5 star levels. I've just roughly averaged the two, and then rounded down because of the prices (pricesare like other elite donuts makers but the quality is lesser than then even if way better than the large chains (as evidenced inthe picture)). Since it is hard to make any other sorts of mistakes here (I ordered no drinks and they won't likely cook thedonuts poorly), this is all I have to go on. Hopefully future visits, if they occur, will pull this average up. Read more
The coffee and donuts here are good. Only reason I didn?t give it 5 stars was because I wish there were more variety of types of... donuts. They have a variety of toppings, but they only have dense, cake-style donuts. I.e. different than the more airy donuts(think Krispy Kreme glaze donut texture). But, even though they?re all dense, cake donuts, they do have a lot of great andconstantly added/changing flavors for the donuts themselves. They are all made fresh to order so they?re always warm when theyget to you, which I like. I find the lattes to be too sweet for my liking, but I often get a caramel iced coffee. You have toadd milk and sugar yourself, but my perfect blend that I?d recommend is 2 sugars and 3 creams. Read more
This was my first visit here... They have an amazing array of donuts! Every kind you could think of and some you wouldn't think... of! I was warned that these donuts are very sweet and that was no understatement! These are cake donuts, or at least that'swhat they reminded me of. So I think the batter is sweet to begin with, then by the time they add the flavors they are toothachesweet! I had the maple smoked bacon with salted caramel. The topping of bacon was more than generous and the quality of thebacon was very good. The "salted" caramel was just one note, sweet. I couldn't detect any salt in either the bacon or thesalted caramel. However, the donut was fresh and still hot when I got it, which was nice. But I wouldn't call these donuts(especially these), or really any donuts, breakfast food. In my opinion they are a dessert. I want to give a shout-out to thetwo women behind the counter. They were inviting, helpful, sweet and kind. I walked out of there with a warm, sweet donut and ahuge smile on my face. I definitely recommend Duck Donuts... I don't know if this is a chain, but I'd love to know from theowner why they call it Duck Donuts? And now a non sequitur... Does anyone else miss Spudnuts??? I sure do! Read more
