Pros: nice hearty sandwich which is exactly what we wanted. Cons: we found blue shreds of plastic inside three of our four... sandwiches. When my husband went in to show the staff, they brushed him off like it was nothing, saying "oh, that's just from akitchen supply, nothing grody." No apology or anything. Like it happens all the time. Overall not a welcoming place. Inthis age where we are overly kind and respectful to employees, it's disheartening when we don't get that in return. Read more
Stopped yesterday for the first time - will definitely make it a habit. Soup was absolutely delicious as was the homemade... bread. Looking forward to a sandwich next trip. Cookies looked amazing ! You will not be disappointed. Sat on the porch andenjoyed the beautiful day. Read more

This is the best deli I?ve ever been to. The red onion sandwiches the specialty however every single thing on the menu is top... notch. The bread is baked in-house. You can guarantee the best bread you?ve ever had with the best sandwich you can imagine. Lots of other goodies on display as well. Nothing disappoints. Read more
The signature sandwich was great! They were super busy but got our order out pretty fast. Customer service was not very good but... as mentioned they were busy. Outdoor seating only and masks still required as of 07/24/22. Read more

The "Red Onion Sandwich" (on Honey Oat!) is, without a doubt, the. best. sandwich. ever. If you ask them to hold or change an... ingredient of this masterpiece, I can only say I'm so sorry that we can never be friends. Presumably, there are othersandwiches on the menu at The Red Onion Cafe. You could theoretically order a BLT or some other mundane fare. They apparentlysell loaves of their delicious bread and offer a number of other delectable treats. But for 20 years, the Red Onion Sandwich(on Honey Oat!) has been my only choice. I'm tempted to give Red Onion a single star review for the sin of recently pulling upits roots on Church St. in Burlington and moving so far away. But a 35 minute road trip followed by a 15 minute wait foroven-toasted perfection, and all is forgiven. Read more
$32.50 for 2 turkey bacon sandwiches extra bacon on one. And this is what you get!!!! I didn?t ask for extra mayo!!!! I called... for a refund or remake as these where not edible and get hung up on. What great customer service. None of the employees havemanners, it?s like a problem to take your order or be polite. And the owner is no better I don?t see how she has made it to behonest.
