I got the shrimp and pork spring rolls, but there was no option to not have the shrimp so I put it in the box and they did take... out the shed, but they sliced open the spring roll. I tried to make a little salad because it was so much lettuce and alsorealize that it was turkey slices not pork. Pho is a great flavor broth with a lot of chicken but minimal noodles. Read more

We always get the excellent Phô here, which my wife wanted, but I was hungry for báhn mì. The bread was more chewy than I... expected. It felt as if it was a store-bought hoagie roll. The ingredients were fine, but the bread is too important. Will beback for Phô. Read more

Solid 8.5/10, Huge portion, full of flavor, lots of toppings. $25-30 for lunch, not bad at all. Tried the Vietnamese coffee, i?m... amazed. Service is nice tho (?) I wonder why people give bad reviews. Read more

This restaurant is by far one of the worst places to eat that I have visited in Charlotte for several reasons. 1, the food is... subpar. One of my party bit into a rolls that was served with the entrée and she got a mouth full of oil. Oil was dripping downher arms and into her lap. The food i was served looked stale and not fresh. We were scared to put the vegetable into the hotboiling pho broth because it looked as if it hadn't been washed and was wilting. Reason 2, the customer service, server, hostwere abominable. Before ordering I tell my server on 3 separate and distinctive moments, I don't eat a particular item on theentrée and it can be removed. I got his assurance but after delivering the food, lo and behold the items are in my foodeverywhere. I couldn't risk eating there and lost my appetite. I let the server know and told him the issue and he could takethe plate and leave it off the bill. He takes it and places it on a side counter by the entry and leave it there. When it wastime to pay, he says to me "you have to pay, we are not in the business to give food away.". At first i was unbothered, nobodyis going to make me pay for what i don't want to. Then he commits the greatest disrespectful slight that i have EVERexperiences at a restaurant. He pick pick up the phone, pushes the dial tone, looks me directly in the face says " I feelthreatened". That caused a lot of confusion in my mind because i wasn't argumentative nor had deviated from a calm tone. Foreveryone who doesn't understand the statement, to people of color it means I going to call the police and your life maybe indanger. At that point, I realized i was dealing with a desperate racist. I paid and left. This place is trash in every senseof the word. The bathroom is trash. The food is Trash. The service is trash. Read more

The man at the front to greet people is very rude no customer service at all . I order my food & received the wrong item. I... asked if it could be fixed He caught an attitude with me about that also about sauce containers. He refused to give mecontainers to pour sauce. I just tasted my food ZERO flavor , very blend. The beef was so dry it tasted like jerky. I'm verydisappointed because I respect the cuisine a lot but the service & food was poor Read more

Traveling on South Blvd yesterday, after having skipped breakfast. I saw the open sign for the Vietnam Grille and quickly did a... u-turn. There was only one other group of customers seated for lunch. The menu was full of classic and authentic Vietnamesedishes, soups and sandwiches. Both healthy, because of the freshness of the vegetables and other natural ingredients; as well ashearty and filling because of the portion sizes. Only one young waitress and a gentleman were solely responsible for all of thedeliciousness being served and coming out of the kitchen for all of their customers. I occasionally enjoy a beer with my Asiancuisine, as it can really help to temper the spiciness of some dishes. Unfortunately, no alcoholic beverages were beingserved. There to-go order business far and away exceeded and helped too offset the lack of customers who chose to dine-in.Although, by the time that I left, there were at least 5 tables with customers who chose to dine-in. The food was as fresh andauthentic as possible. The portions were very nicely sized. Although I was a little disappointed with the lacking amount ofseafood in the Pho Do Bien(#23), seafood soup. The pork Banh Mi/French sandwich that I had was well put together and full ofboth flavor and vegetables. The pork in the sandwich had a very nice char and crispiness to it. The restaurant was very cleanand well-maintained. And everything was handicap accessible. Hand written papers on the restaurant windows were posted withvariations of help-wanted signs. I've been on a roll this summer, trying out new foods and places as much as I can. I guess you can call it a "summer roll". But... seriously, terrible jokes aside, I've seen plenty of good reviews for this place that my interested was peaked. The pictureskind of persuaded my decision and I knew what I wanted going in. The staff working there was very friendly and fast, which wasgreat. I showed our server a picture of what I wanted, she told me what it was and I went from there. I ordered some summerrolls to start. Then for my main dish, I ordered the pork and shrimp broken rice. It came with a salad on the side. The summerrolls were okay, they had seemed to have more noodles than most of the ones I eat. But I still ate every bite. The shrimp andpork broken rice was very tasty and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't the best that I've had locally, but it was still good enoughthat I would order it again. Overall, I had a great experience and I would recommend this place to anyone. Read more
