Lucked out finding parking and an open table outside on a Saturday night. There are so many "beer and food hall" variations in... South End, but this place has a surprisingly varied menu that's more than sandwiches and pub food. We got a flight of 4 oftheir craft beers for $10, and liked the fruity IPA and dark Porter. Server said those are usually available, and they rotatethe others. The entrees were also good, though the duck fried rice for $16 was much more filling than the Pork Tenderloin andPork Belly at the same price. The $14 Charred Octopus with fingerling potatoes was good, but I wish the portion had beenlarger--there was barely any octopus! Look forward to returning for weekend brunch! Read more

Giving a top rating without having experienced the food side, but my experience while just stopping in to try their beer was top... notch. Very beautiful and large space of beer fermenters at eye level and above. Seating around the bar and tables downstairsand upstairs. Lots of space. House brewed beers were very well crafted, smooth flavorful within each style. Bartender Mason, wasvery helpful and knowledgeable. Food menu looks awesome, three different brands offering a varied menu that all lookedinteresting. Pricing elevated but reasonable, will come back to try the full experience. Read more

June '22 Update - We've been coming here on and off now since their opening and it's become a staple for us. Always on the ball... with food allergy considerations, brunch is amazing, cocktails keep getting better and the specials are the best. Staff isalways fantastic. A newer place with a lot of potential. Food was pretty great, beer & cocktails were good and the staff wasamazing. A lot on the menu we wanted to try, so def gonna check back in a few more times in the coming months. Highlyrecommend the scallops and duck fat wings from what we tried. Read more

Came here for Sunday brunch because they are dog friendly and have a completely shaded patio for our pup. We had great service... and the food and drinks were good too! Pictured are the smash burger, monte cristo, and basic breakfast. Drinks we got are theclassic mimosa and the baby dragon. Definitely a good Sunday spot to still be outside but not directly in the sun Read more

First off we had great service from door to table. Now for the food and drinks, We had an experimental stout beer finished in... rye barrels, and their seasonal sangria with mango puree, white wine and some addition awesomeness. For food we ordered thekebab salad (large and delicious), bacon cheeseburger which was great (bun began to fall apart but worth it!), a pretzel(happened to be one of the best soft pretzels we ever had!), and last the wood fire charred fingerling potatoes (this was theonly part of the meal where the description didn?t seem to match what was delivered). All in all still a great meal and view! Read more

Clean, modern setting. Initial service time was delayed but steady once we were greeted. Food was very good. The stuffed peppers... on the charcuterie board were divine. We?ll be back. Read more

I have been coming to Trolley Barn since their pre-opening and am so proud of the team there. This place came to south end with... a whole lot of hype and certainly lived up to all of it. They have adapted very well to customer feedback since opening and donea great job in streamlining operations. The bar itself is a work of art and unlike any other I have seen. The rotating taps area genius idea that allows Trolley Barn to always keep an interesting selection of beers on tap that even the regulars do not getbored. The upstairs lounge is a wonderful setting to enjoy a cocktail w/ a view of the beautiful Charlotte skyline with asmaller crowd too. Overall, a wonderful place and the food options are also all a hit. I highly recommend you try out TrolleyBarn if you are in the mood for a casual, fun, and unique experience in South End. Whether it is the food, beer or cocktails, they will not disappoint! Read more
