Meats are amazing! Not a fan of the house slaw. Spicy green beans are the best in town! We take all our guests here!

Great spot to stop on the weekend! My husband and I were out running errands and decided we would eat out for lunch. I?m so glad... we chose to stop here! We ordered the twice-baked stuffed jalapeños and I wasn?t able to share a photo because they weredelicious ? We ate them up too quick for a picture! I loved the salad menu here, there was something for everyone. Both of usordered the Improper Caesar and it was one of the best salads I?ve ever had! I loved the variety of toppings and the healthyromaine lettuce. The best part? It comes with shredded, smoked meat. So, even ordering a salad, I still got the smoked BBQflavor and it was amazing! Really nice area, very few places I like to get BBQ outside of making it my self, but this is definitely one of them, fantastic... portions, great cocktail/beer selection and quality food here. Traveling thru Charlotte and the hotel recommended The Improper Pig. Great choice from the time we walked in until we left the... service was amazing, our server was Haley W. She was phenomenal. The food was Great!!!! If you have one near you visit?.. I hadthe Salmon Blt with white American instead of the pimento cheese added mayo and was in food Heaven along with sweet potatofries!!! We went here for lunch and it was AMAZING! I enjoyed everything! We had Hush Puppies and Jalapeño poppers for starters and it... was delicious! I had impoper pig platter which is the best deal since you could pick and choose 2 kinds of meat and sides! Thebrisket was really nice and tender, and I really enjoyed my waffle-cut sweet potato fries too! The cocktails were also good! Ourserver was nice and friendly and great service overall. Place is good, great lunch service. Did the bao tacos, brisket and pulled pork were legit. Pass on the chicken, just not... memorable. Great asain slaw on the bao buns. Awesome beer batter fries, great way to enjoy all the bbq sauces, Mary B's was agreat sauce, shocker in NC, hats off! Read more

First time eating here and sadly not a good experience. We initially requested patio seating, however the hostes said they were... full and offered for us to eat indoors or place a to-go order which is what we did. We waited for our order to be done andplanned on eating on a nearby bench. Unfortunately, no plasticware or napkins were included in bag. We opted to go home to eatand good thing we did. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich where the bun was literally drenched in oil seeping out fromeverywhere. I understand pulled pork can be greasy but I think anyone looking at these pictures would agree this is beyondexcessive. We were able to form the bun into a golf ball sized ball. Disgusting! My order of pork egg rolls was no different. Weare hoping this was an isolated experience and are willing to give it another try at some point but not any time soon. Read more
