What a great experience. First time coming here and can't wait to come back! The staff was attentive and friendly. Ordered the... chicken and waffles and they were amazing. The chicken was so tender that you could cut it with your fork. The syrup they hadon top sent you on a culinary ride. Great combination! Read more
We've been coming here pretty regularly since 2019 and it never disappoints. Even throughout the times when dining was... restricted, their takeout was one of our go-tos. The chicken sandwich, Cuban, Mac and Cheese, and burgers are definitely familyfavorites, but I don't think we've ever had a dish that we wouldn't order again. The food is fresh, inventive and they do agreat job balancing portion size and cost. The servers are always wonderful and we see the owner in the dining room speaking totables almost every time we're there. It's a great neighborhood place! Read more

I should have known something was up when I arrived during prime brunch hours and it was empty. Anyway, I just spent the worse... 50+ bucks of my dining life. I got the chicken & waffles. The waffles were soggy instead of crispy, and not special in any way, besides this strange spicy ingredient (jalapeño?) that no one in their right mind would ask for. I legit make better wafflesmyself and I?m just a regular guy. The chicken? lord help me? two little chicken tenders? and it was $16 plus tax for that. Ialso ordered a mimosa. I saw that it was $5 and thought to myself, ?well maybe it?s going to be a big cup? (like at rubysunshine which I highly recommend), but nope, it was a regular thin champagne flute. I was with someone so our two entrees andtwo mimosas came up to 48 bucks after tax, and then after leaving a tip I was at above $50. We rushed out of that restaurantbecause the reality of us really wasting time and money there was bothering us. Worst restaurant I?ve ever been to in NorthCarolina. Tiny serving sizes, which is rare here, coupled with high prices, which is also rare here. Just for comparison?s sake?I went to metro diner earlier this week and spent $50 and was so happy with my decision because they give you an amazing waffle, and half a fried chicken, fried to perfection and the waffle comes with a nice strawberry butter. At metro, we also ordered twodrinks (a Bloody Mary and a mimosa), and two sides (biscuits and gravy and grits) and it was $50 bucks. Metro diner isexponentially better, and it was so much food we took some of everything home. And I have no affiliation with metro diner, justsaying. So yea, avoid ?Queen City Craft and Gourmet? for brunch. Read more
