It was my first time eating at PC and I placed my order via their mobile app. It was very user friendly and they even offered me... a coupon off my first purchase. The food was ready when I arrived at the time they estimated which was great. The staff werefriendly and my order was packaged nicely, and I received all the items I ordered. To go order accuracy is important these daysand I appreciated their attention to detail on the packaging. The food was just as good as the service, fresh and delicious. I don?t even know how to explain this one as I?ve told countless people they have to visit Pollo Campero because they have the... absolute best chicken around and most don?t believe me! Forget about these chain chicken places- there is no comparison. Thinkabout the best cook you know and how well seasoned their food is or would be- I see you smiling so you have that person in yourhead and you?re probably salivating at the thought. Consider someone?s Big Momma (as an older grandmother is affectionatelycalled in the African American community, think Soul Food if you haven?t seen it, go and watch it and this will make sense toyou) and then consider a Hispanic Abuela who makes everything from scratch coming together in the kitchen and sharing their bestseasonings and cooking methods and they dump all of that into that fried chicken batter AND and BAM?you have the most crispy,well seasoned piece of chicken that leaves you confused and yet salivating for more. I lived in Cali for 10 years so I tried different chickens, moved to NC and every fried chicken is meh (to me). This one isn't... the real deal BUT it was good, bought a meal plus 12 pieces. Maybe people is so use to bojangles or others (kfc). This isdifferent, it's a 3 hour drive but anytime I'm in town I'll stop here for sure. I would change: the menu, back home the menu is2 (or 3 ) pieces plus fries and coleslaw, here 2nd side is extra and quite expensive. Bathroom was nasty but thats mostlycustomer fault (I think), and large groups will move tables leaving no room for couples or small families. Read more
I love their fried chicken and yuca fries with the smoked aioli, I've always had great experience on south blvd this is my 2nd... time at this location and I ordered a 4 piece fried and a grilled bowl. Drove home was ready to eat and I had a 2pc grilled, soI drove back up there was asked for my receipt as if that mattered since they didn't follow instructions bthe 1st and since it'sCOVID I know they weren't supposed to take the messed up order back which she did and apologize to me and said they gave me anextra piece which is unsellable as you can see Read more
Great food, great service and great prices! I am extremely picky with my chicken and I have to say that I was very impressed... with the variety of delicious chicken at this restaurant. The Fried Chicken was good but the grilled chicken was absolutelysuperb. The seasoning wasn't too much it was just right, it was juicy and with the hint of lemon it was literally like I wasback at the Caribbean. The french fries were nice and crispy, the family loved the dinner rolls and the flavored rice wasextremely well seasoned (again, not too much but just right). I will absolutely we going back again! Today i bought 2 pieces of chicken. 1 breast and 1 wing. The wing had feathers and the breast was entirely raw in the inside. I... was so excited to try out this place from hearing positive reviews but I was extremely disappointed.
