Great space, phenomenal service and FABULOUS FOOD!!!! I was able to enjoy a PERFECTLY cooked filet and usually I avoid steak... sauces but they make their own and I promise it's not like any sauce you've ever tasted. Of course the apps were onpoint...definitely get the oysters rockefeller and whew, the drinks!!! Update: received an email apologizing for the experience, and asking me to reach out to the GM as they wanted to invite us back.... I sent an email to the GM but no response. I guess we now know why they are having operationalproblems. ********************************************** We may return, but not on a Saturday evening. Made reservations, buthad to wait at front door well beyond our reservation time. Front door staff were very unorganized, but pleasant. The bigdisappointment was service, at every single step of our experience. First approach: 8 minutes. Cocktail order and appetizerorder took 11 minutes, then received drinks 22 minutes later. Every single entree was delivered to the wrong person, and all hadbeen ordered incorrectly and arrived with the incorrect side dishes. No check back on taste until the meal was almost completed.Sauces and condiments were not delivered on time. Water wasn’t refilled until we flagged down another employee, and checksettlement was incredibly long. Our food was generally very good, the high point of our evening. But the long time forpreparation and delivery, and RE-delivery made for a less than happy evening. The waitress, who did not know the menu andincorrectly described several items, was one of the nicest people we’ve met, but either wasn’t trained, or didn’t retainany of the training she received. Was a nice place, took a bit to get our food but was ok with that. Only thing is if you going to be a top end steakhouse you... should probably know how to cook steaks. I got mine medium and it was basically medium rare, hers was supposed to be medium wellbut it was really well done. Probably not on the list to go back to. Read more
Your next date or friend link up should be at Oak steakhouse . Oaksteak house passes the ambiance check & the steaks were cooked... to perfection . We enjoyed the cocktails and the wine pairings as well . Our server Ben was impeccable with his service andknowledge of wine and more . You can’t visit a steak house and don’t order steaks . We indulged in both the 8 Oz C.A.B FILETMIGNON, & the 18 Oz C.A.B PRIME KC STRIP /MKT added additions of king crab lobster. They were both prepared to perfection ,super tender and full of flavor . The appetizers , sides , desserts everything was amazing the only dish I did not enjoy so muchwas the macaroni it lacked flavor . I had the pleasure of dining at Oak Steakhouse for dinner and it was absolutely wonderful. The service, the manager, and the... food was amazing. My waiter asked if I had food allergies and made sure everything was prepared and brought to me promptly. Themanager checked in but was very subtle about it. I dislike going to restaurants and they check in every five minutes. I had theCaesar salad, salmon, shrimp, brussels, mac and cheese, potatoes, and creme brûlée for dessert. Listen!!! I had a decent time dining at Oak steakhouse with a fellow colleague. The only reason that I gave it a four-star there were some... instances where there was a miscommunication between the staff and the kitchen on preparedness of the steak that was ordered.The drinks were fantastic but not a lot to choose from on the regular menu. This restaurant is extremely nice it has very very amazing Staff. After being seated the manager came out and introduced... himself and took my drink order then told me my waiter will be over soon. Andre was definitely the best waiter I've had inyears. He was very good at describing the menu, offering selections, and very good at listening and taken order. His knowledgeof the menu was impeccable, I personally think he deserves a raise. Because of his Stellar service I will be returning the OakSteakhouse. The location is extremely nice and what's crazy is I've passed this restaurant numerous times not even noticing it.Now that I'm aware of where it is I will be there every time I'm close to the South End area. My twin daughters decided to celebrate their 22nd birthdays here and we were treated exceptionally well. All of the food was... great but the brussel sprouts with the sweet chili oil was the star for me. The boneless ribeye steak and pork chop wereperfect. The mac and cheese pasta was al adente loaded with cheesey goodness. The truffle fries were good. The whipped potatoeswere really good. The sweet potatoes that accompanied the pork chop was a perfect addition. The desserts - chocolate cake,cheesecake, and especially the creme brulee were so decadent. We loved everything. Read more
