A word to the wise, just eat before you go. This place is a vibe and looks nice on the inside but I was not blown away (actually... not even impressed) with the taste, temperature or portion size of the food. It was very low quality for the price. I ordered ashrimp dinner entree as my main. My shrimp were super small, overcooked and still had the tails on. There were barely anyvegetables on the plate and overall the plate was barely warm. I went last Saturday and this restaurant was participating inCharlotte restaurant week. However, if you order off the regular menu, your meal will often be much cheaper than the $40 forrestaurant week menu options. I thought the purpose of restaurant week was to allow people a deal not for them to be payingextra. Also the restaurant week menu they have online was different from the restaurant week menu they had in the restaurant. Overall I gave the place a 2 star rating because my drinks were very tasty and had an appropriate amount of alcohol, myappetizer was decent and the ambience was nice however, I will not be returning here to dine. I did not speak to a managerbecause it was my friend's birthday dinner and I didn't want to make it seem like she picked a bad spot. Absolutely love this place! It only took one time to become my favorite! The owner is absolutely amazing and I admire her so... much! She's a free wild child and I love to see that! The vibe of the place is so fun! Dancing and DJ's! Definitely makes ithard to go home! Read more

Atmosphere is great. Food is just so-so. Hibachi veggies tasted bland and they overcooked my steak. I asked for a medium NY... strip and but what I got was a dry well done steak. When on I told the waitress, she pointed out the very end of the steak thatwas very slightly pink. I told her that part looks medium well but the rest was definitely well done. She offered to fix itbut I was hungry and had already started eating and didn't want to wait for them to fix it, so I ate it anyway. Way overpricedfor the quality and the amount of food. By far my first experience and will be my last experience due to the unprofessional manager that was running last night shift... April 16,2022 at around 9pm-10pm I arrived at this restaurant and was definitely amazed at the atmosphere nice tablearrangements and the live DJ was definitely killing it last night . I placed an order through a friend who was already seated attable before I arrived . I came with my cousin so we both ordered food 2 steak and fried plates the only difference in orders Iwanted EXTRA TERIYAKI on my steak through the friend that was already seated. When we arrived we were greeted by a waitress shetook our drink order and told us our food would be out soon. Shortly after our food arrived we noticed quite a difference in theplates . My cousins plate was simple bowl with fried rice and cut up steak pieces on top. My plate was very different huge flatplate with a scoop of rice and veggies and steak with teriyaki drizzled on the top . We definitely noticed the plate differenceand was unable to inform the waitress due to her being very busy with other tables . After eating a few bites of my food which Ididn?t eat much , the check was brought out with a very big price difference of $45 NY STRIP PLATE W/VEGGIES as for my cousinwho ordered the same as me $25 Steak and rice . I immediately asked for the waiter why such a price difference for the same meal. The manger made his way over (light skin Latino guy curly black hair) he immediately started to put the BLAME on me I was soin shock . I explained to him the my friend at the table put our order in the only difference in plates were suppose to beTERIYAKI sauce on one. He immediately said ?did you not see the huge plate difference?? I explained to him that I had never beento this restaurant and had no idea what I was getting I just order teriyaki steak and rice . This restaurant was a WHOLE VIBE. The DJ was amazing! Like I'm telling everyone in Charlotte to go there!!! Our waitress was... ok...she seemed overwhelmed. The drinks really aren't that great so don't have high expectations but the food is really good.Again...the vibe is out of this world. Read more

CHEAP JAPANESE FOOD. The service was absolutely awful. Our server was worried more about his/her eyebrows that getting our order... correct. Our entire party was done eating and my cousin still did not get her food....the manager did not even comp her completebill after we waited for too long.....we asked to see another manager....we were told she is in the restaurant but she is drunk.UNACCEPTABLE. They have fake shrimp sauce and you literally pay three times what your meal is worth....two thumbs down????????????????. 0 stars....you can do better by eating at a Japanese express before you go...the DJ was ????????
