Wonderful Food! Best Corn bread I have ever had. The service was a bit slow and I had to wait 20 min for the waitress to take my... order. Food was superb! Crispy catfish seasoned to the core yet still juicy! Fried chicken leg quarter was not breaded, it'swell seasoned from the skin to the bone. The waitstaff was super friendly and made sure we were served promptly so we could get to our concert on time. The portions were... very generous. If you're looking for some good soul food in the Uptown area, then this is it! The food was absolutely deliciously. And the... cornbread was warm and sweet. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. It has an old dinner vibe, so come as you are. I gaveit four stars because they were under staffed when we went recently. Pork chops were the most tender I have ever eaten. The collard greens were great but had a few too many stems for my liking... (just my personal preference) the black eye peas were great too.
