Had a great meal and time at Growlers Pourhouse in Charlotte NC. The service was stellar and the food was fantastic. The wings... were saucy and crispy and came with homemade blue cheese dressing. The burger was cooked perfectly and came with shoestringfries- so crispy. The kale Caesar was really good too- just enough dressing and croutons. We also had a pork belly taco- so fullof flavor. Growler's Pourhouse (GPH) is one of my favorite places in Charlotte for their immaculate service, cocktails, food, and overall... atmosphere. GPH is conveniently located in the heart of NoDA North Davidson and East 35th street right across the street fromProtagonist (NoDA), Cabo Fish Taco, and right beside Crepe Cellar (which is soon to be closed). Growler's motto is "What we'vegot is simple: Craft Beer and Beer Food". Growler's Pourhouse has very moody, dark intimate vibe as you walk through theirextremely huge 'Nordic' wooden door; kind of speakeasy-ish. You're greeted by a big round table to the left, in-wall benchseating, a long, high-up picnic like table in the middle with bar stools, and to the right is the curvaceous bar with barstools. The service at GPH is absolutely on-point and HE was very attentive plus knowledgeable about their products AND MORE. Iliterally did not have to wait to get another cocktail because my bartender was phenomenal; Definitely top-notch service. I wasextremely impressed. The food matches the service being marvelous and shockingly succulent and ambrosial. I had the absolutepleasure of devouring a couple of items on the menu (at an earlier date). I had one dozen FRESH oysters, wings (Wednesdayspecial) which were juicy, crunchy exterior, and sauced up just right; and when they had the lobster roll, I ordered that aswell which was all buttered up with an adequate amount of fresh lobster. Everything was prepared exquisitely and I HAVE/WILL beback to try some of the new(er) items. PRO-TIP: Parking sucks in NoDA but I always take the light rail and/or Uber/Lyft. Justmake sure if you take the light rail, you take it back home before it stops running! LOL! All in all, Growler's Pourhouse isthe 'Sugar Honey Iced Tea' and I would it to my family, friends, and now, YOU! This gastro pub is a walk-in and sit yourself type place which makes it chill. I had the famous nitro infused burger it was... disappointing. They can only serve it medium rare so beware. I just didn't understand the hype around it. Also limited amount ofdraft beer options. Will return for pastrami sandwich though! Read more
Consistently exceptional service and food you can count on being great. Rotating soup selections are always delicious. The nitro... burger may be the best burger in Charlotte. Fight me. Jameson shot and a pint of PBR for $7!? Growlers feels like home. Bringback those cheese fries though? Read more
