The Grinning Mule is a great spot! The cocktails are amazing. The food was super delicious but, pretty small! I would say they... are single portions, honestly. There wasn’t a lot to share. But, that was my only qualm. Everything tasted amazing, servicewas great! Would definitely try again to try some other things on the menu! Read more

So good! I love the variety of plates; it's hard to choose which ones to get. This is one of the only places I can get some... wurst and my vegetarian gf can get something she can eat as well. And lastly, so many good cocktails. We will be coming backhere often! Read more
Had a really great experience at The Grinning Mule in Charlotte NC. The service was fantastic. They had so many great things on... the menu- was had to choose. Our drinks were amazing. I had the smoked margarita and the hunting wabbits. We had the New Orleansshrimp, the duck au poivre pasta which was fantastic, the burrata, we got the Papas bravas with bacon and cheese, the mac &cheese which was so cheesy and delicious and the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Ate at The Mule this past Saturday night with some friends and was shocked to see how insanely busy they were. Made me thankful... we made reservations because those who didn’t were turned away. We sat on the patio and it was such a beautiful night. I neverleave reviews but wanted to this time because I think it’s great to see a local spot growing. The sweet owner came out andspoke to our table and she told us they were understaffed and working on new hires. The growth was super fast. The food here isexcellent, truly. The staff is amazing and so are the drinks. The atmosphere is also one of my favorites. The restaurant isbeautiful and such a fun spot. If you’ve not tried this spot, you need to.
