I moved to Charlotte a year ago and truthfully I haven’t tried much Chinese food because a lot of people told me it’s... nothing near as good as New York’s Chinatown. I finally find found something that came pretty close. Really enjoyed Great Wallof China South in Charlotte, North Carolina. The service was really spectacular and the food was fantastic. The hot and soursoup was a little bland but I had the fantasy shrimp which is the same dish I had in New York called Grand Marnier shrimp. Ialso had cold sesame noodles and the noodles had amazing texture and the sauce was a perfect consistency. My friend had the triowith garlic sauce and that tasted really good as well. I have been searching for good Chinese food at a reasonable price and have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We... ordered the steamed pork dumplings, sesame chicken, and kung Pao chicken. The dumplings were tasty and had a good amount offilling. The sauce of the Kung Pao chicken was basic and salty of soy sauce but not "flavorful" if that makes sense. The sesamechicken was slightly crispy and not drowning in sauce (a good thing). The flavor was good but it was slightly too sweet for mytaste. The service was excellent! I may come back to try other dishes. Read more
Had the Chicken with cashews. They should call it the Mushroom Curry. You need a microscope to see the Chicken and Cashews. But... OUTSTANDING Customer service. The host and waitress were doing a GREAT job. Some high end restaurants should go in and hirethem. Read more
Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is nice, and the giant fish tank is the cherry on top. The food is... fantastic and everything seems very much homemade. You can even tell how much love they put into it by the brown rice alone.Three time customer so far. Read more
Always good service and food. My goto is the crispy scallops. The sauce is oh so good and the scallops so juicy. The string... beans is a wonderful side dish along with the crispy tofu. Overall every choice is a good one. Read more
Tasty, spicy, and pleasant - lemme tell you all about Great Wall’s attempt at authentic Chinese food. With a modern, cozy,... typical Chinese-esque atmosphere, this restaurant has it down pat to providing the complete package. We ordered Hong Kong StyleShrimp Ho Fun, Twice Cooked Pork, and Mapo Tofu. The Ho Fun was flavorful and light with a little too much oil, but nonethelesswas good. The Twice Cooked Pork, fatty and decadent, was complemented with crisp onions and bell peppers - this dish was prettygood overall. The Mapo Tofu was soft with uplifting aromas of ground pork and scattered spices. All of the food similarly servedthe same taste buds of mine, fulfilling my spicy craving. Spicy goodness ???? In addition, our server was wonderful, engaging,and attentive making extra strides to continually fill our water and asked us if we need assistance. The food here is excellentand the service is outstanding. I highly recommend the Shrimp Ho Fun, House Special Fried Rice, and Seafood Delight - some itemsI’ve eaten before. You won’t be disappointed. The best sesame chicken around!! The servers are like family by this point, we've been coming for years and each time we pick up... where we left off. So kind and thoughtful, and the food / tea is incredible!
