The wine was good, but our waitress was rude to my beautiful black friends. She was rolling her eyes, not addressing their... needs, nor taking their orders when she took the orders of the rest of the group. She was so much kinder to me, which wasabsolutely not okay. They were not acting any differently than anyone else in the room, and were nice to her despite herbehavior. Overall, the place is very small, extremely loud, expensive, and the food was not worth the price. There are muchbetter wine bars in Charlotte. Try The Wine Loft in South End for a lovely atmosphere with great wine, food, and service! Read more

UPDATE: I truly appreciate the management taking this seriously, and taking the time to check in with their staff and to reply... to my comments. It may very well be that our server did not realize how she came across a couple of times, and that we simplytook things the wrong way. Based on the fact that she has had so many positive reviews from other customers, perhaps it was amisunderstanding. In any case, several of us got the same feeling, which is why I posted the review. But I truly do appreciatethe follow up, as it means a lot. _____________________________________________________________ The wine was great and the menuitems I chose were very good. However, it did feel like our server was a bit rude to some of the people at our table (andhonestly, the people she was rude to were the black women in our group). When I looked at the other large groups of peoplethere, I don't think we were acting any differently or overly demanding, so I am not sure why the rude treatment happened. Ihate making the assumption that it was a racial thing, but since our group was the only one with black people (that I could see, anyway), it sure as heck felt like a racial thing. The food and wine were 4 stars, but the service was 1 star. Read more

Our waitress clearly didn't want to serve us. She was rude the entire time. I ordered two plates, she told me later one wasn't... available. Never gave me a chance to order anything else so I left starving. The bread and cheese was good though. Since I amunable to reply to the owners response directly I will do so here: 1. Please read my review again. The waitress never gave mea chance to order any other food. I had my phone out with the menu shown every time she came to the table and she was in SUCH arush to leave she never took my food order. If one of my two items isn't available should it not be common sense to ask if I'dlike anything else? 2. I had nothing to do with other's accusations of racial bias and I'm not sure how it relates to thisreview. 3. Taking a photo when asked does not mean we were "well taken care of". She was extremely unhappy, never smiled orengaged with us besides rushing through the order process. 4. I can tell by your other aggressive responses to negative reviewsthat there is no point in calling you. I just wanted others to know what to expect. Read more

A coworker and I came to Foxcroft after work and loved it! I wish I could remember her name, but our server was so knowledgeable... and helped us to learn about the different wines we were drinking and gave us some samples before we bought a bottle from herrecommendations. Also the octopus was DE.LI.CIOUS!! So good I ordered it twice ???? I will most definitely come back. Sevice, food, ambiance.. 10/10! Read more

My visit here was on a nice sunny day and it was a bit busy. There were people outside and inside. This was more of a surprise... for me. My friend brought me here. After looking at the menu, I didn?t really see much I wanted. However, the waiter had greatthings to say about the truffle fries and donuts, so we got them. They were both beyond delicious. As I?m typing this, I cantaste the donuts and now I?m craving them!! For wine, we got a Riesling. It was good. We drank/shared the whole bottle haha. Iwould come back! No complaints at all. Going to Foxcroft was a great decision! I love try new restaurants and this one definitely fulfilled my dinner expectations! The... waitress was hospitable and attentive! My date and I shared the Truffle fries while we each had the Lamb sliders & the housemade burger! We finished the dinner off with a small order of donuts that came with Carmel & chocolate for dipping! Read more

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine, and some of the food was awesome, unfortunately some was just adequate. The Truffle Fries... were perfect, some of the best fries I've ever had. Fried perfectly so they were crispy but not hard and none were soggy orundercooked. The House Made Ricotta was excellent, the green olives were a very nice addition, I think I would have like moreof them but it was still very good. The Caramlized Brussel Sprouts weren't super caramelized and had far to much soy in thesoy-chili glaze, if overpowered most of the flavors. Though not as caramelized as I would have preferred, the sprouts werecooked very well, not raw too raw or overcooked. The Chicken Flatbread was our biggest disappointment, it was very dry and kindof bland because of it. Maybe the fault lies with the almond pesto but it just needed more moisture. Though we liked it theleast, it was still okay, the Flatbread just wasn't up to the same level as the Ricotta (nothing comes close to those fries). Wedefinitely plan on going back, there are several other things I really want to try, I just probably won't get the flatbread nexttime. Read more
