Fat Cat Burgers and Bakehouse is a great little find. Delicious sweet treats. They make different items daily, so don't get... attached to anything! My favorite donuts are ones with crushed peanuts on them, the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Alltheir buns are baked daily for burgers. A custom menu to build your own sandwich. They also make delicious salads, it is thekind of place where you always get a salad because you know you need one! Then a box of donuts because it is all about balance. Read more
Excellent service and were great at suggesting different menu items as it was our first visit. I just had to try the Fat Franny... Donut burger. Was not as sweet as I thought it might be which was perfect. Definitely worth trying! Bacon wrapped tatertots.. oh yeah... warm soft pretzels dipped in beer cheese sauce... more please... Brussel sprout cheese dip... better than Icould have imagined mainly because I can't stand Brussel sprouts.... donuts incredibly fresh... ok I'm hungry again!!! Read more
Service was kind and Lovely. Food was ok.. Pretzel Bun was Old and Stale for my cheese burger.. Small portions of French Fries... and bacon wrap tater tots was good... The bakery part is cool. You can smell fresh dough and sugars when you walk in. But thedeserts is sitting openly on bar top with no cover or no case....near the door.. any who. i will return and try again..lookslike a cool place to hangout with shops and other things to do there.. First of all, this restaurant is much larger that it appears from outside! And it’s in the same plaza as Tuesday Mornings and... RuSan’s sushi! But I digress. As you enter you are warmly greeted by pastries on your left, and the owner from the front!!She is the sweetest person, who’s built this place and it’s following with her own hands! I hear she’s there every day,all day! Still bakes everything, but to what level of involvement I’m unsure. What I know is everything is scratch (okay maybenot ketchup and mustard!), so she’s involved, and her love is expressed in the tastes! Believe me, just - just go! Don’teven bother reading the rest! But if you’re still here, the bacon wrapped tots and jalapeño sweet potato tots, drizzled withsome sort of syrupy goodness are very crispy, and decadent! Each appetizer comes with 6, 3 on each skewer sticking out of asundae glass looking fine in the center of our table. They were demolished in seconds, and our sandwich orders came just as wefinished the apps! Service is fast, but thorough. Each of us had different burgers, and each looked delicious, reported asdelicious, and overflowing with their specialty toppings. I chose basil mayo, caramelized balsamic onions and blue cheese, andthe blue melted into the mayo creating a rich sauce so good, I swiped up every drop that dripped! We all agreed this is THEBEST BURGER IN CHARLOTTE! We’ve had so many around town, hands down the beef is second to none! Oh, and the pastries? Did Imention they have pastries? The box wouldn’t even close on mine! So fresh, so moist! Wish I’d taken photos of the rest ofthe food but honestly we’d been waiting a month to show up here (well, one of us had been coming more than once a week! Andthey know her now! We stopped by for dinner and it was a pleasant surprise. They were busy but the waitstaff was nice and did a good job taking... care of us. The cheeseburger melt was excellent and didn't feel heavy. The kale salad was fresh and tasty and the chili cheesefries were great! My only complaint was the desserts. All of the baked goods were located at the bar right by the front door. They were all uncovered and everyone coming into the restaurant had to pass by them. Needless to say, we did not order any ofthe baked goods. Read more
The owner was extremely friendly, and the bakery goods were amazing. The Boston Cream Donut was incredible and the Gluten Red... Velvet cupcakes were outstanding. My boyfriend loved them so much that he said he wished he had bought all they had availablewhile we were there. We Loved the bacon wrapped tater tots and sweet potato tots. A Unique dining experience and a must visitwhile in Charlotte. The staff is super courteous and attentive. There is indoor and outdoor dining available. A Full bar, tryone of the burgers while your there. I actually researched this venue before our trip and was not disappointed with our visit. Iaccidentally left my credit card there when I checked out and the staff kept it safe for me to pick up the next day. They wereactually out of the Boston Creme do it's when we finished our meal and the owner made one specifically for me to take with us.It's was such a wonderful dining experience. Read more
We've made it a valentine's day tradition to try a new burger spot ever since we moved to Charlotte. This spot did not... disappoint. The food was excellent, We started with the jalapeno bacon wrapped sweet potato tater tots w/Tabasco honey glaze,excellent. My wife got a bun-less new American burger with the quinoa salad. I got the California burger on a house madepretzel bun w/sweet potato waffle fries. The burgers were cooked perfectly. We got a few donuts to go, they were delightful. I've never heard of a bakery/ burger joint with a full bar, but it works. The only negative thing I can mention was the servicewas slow, they seems over taxed for the Saturday crowd, although the staff was very nice. We'll definitely go back. Read more
Fat Cat put me in a food coma, in a good way. Bacon wrapped maple glazed tots, buffalo chicken sandwich and grownup burger... slider. All of them were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We stumbled on half price bottle of wine Thursdays. #Winning. Peach cheesecake doughnut for dessert. If you have a big appetite and a healthy workout routine, check this place out! Read more
