this place has the best chicken salad! my favorite flavors is the classical carol and if you want something more on the sweet... side the olivia?s old south has a perfect blend of egg and sweet pickle. i get it on a croissant with L & T, you can get a sidetoo but the sandwich alone is a whole meal! that avgs. $6-$8. the meal is closer to $10-$12. Went here this afternoon for a bite with the family. I had the Buffalo Barclay with artichoke and chicken soup, and my wife had... the Original Carol with broccoli no bacon. Both in sandwich form. It was really nice. The buffalo had a nice hum, which wasunexpected but very welcome, and the soup was warm and comforting, very comfort foody. I also like that they provided a dillpickle spear and a small cookie along with the meal. It was really a great, relatively, cheap meal out that I didn't feel toooverly guilty about. I will definitely be back. Oh, and before I forget, the staff were extremely nice, well spoken, and patientwith us and the other customers. Ordered 2 slices of the pumpkin cheesecake and they were legit like 4 bites of cheesecake each. I also ordered the large fancy... Nancy and it has no apples in it at all! I called about the cheesecake and the fancy Nancy and the manager said ?I just made thefancy Nancy and put a ton of apples in there so maybe you got a scoop that didn?t have any? I?m like ok?she?s like ok well I?msorry about that. Normally I would give 4 or 5 stars because you haven't done anything wrong to my meals and I do order from you atleast twice a... week for lunch..... but TODAY you get 2 stars!!! Why am I only getting half a bowl of soup and half a bowl of mac and cheese?When I paid for a whole bowl? And the mac and cheese... disgusting! It was old and seems like it was just reheated and thengiven to me. I would have loved the soup if I had more than 4 spoonfuls yanno. I went there for the first time with my wife and it definitely is a "chick" place. Loved your signs in the men's bathroom and I... can see where that could help a lot of guys. Placed a order online for 11:30 at 10:30. Showed up right at 11:30, order was not ready which is fine, after 10 minutes I asked... the girl at the register about my order. She said they overlooked it but was working on it. 20 mins goes by, nothing. But plentyof people start getting their order. 15 more minutes goes by and they tell me the chicken salad I ordered was not mixed. So theywere making a batch. 20 more minutes goes by I decide to ask for a refund because they say they don?t know how long it will be.Girl in the front gets someone else to refund my money, of course she goes off on me saying I need patience, but yet waitedclose to a hour. Then says they are doing the best they can because there are only 4 people there. After her yelling this around10 others get out of the line to leave. Stuck deciding between 2 stars or 3. Here's the thing, it's good. The staff was friendly. Place was clean. But my struggle. It's... pricey and your quantity is subpar and the flavor isn't STRONG, which may not be what everyone wants but I wanted to reallyTASTE the flavors I chose. I also thought paying almost $9 I'd have at least an inch of chicken salad on the sandwich. Just mythoughts. I found this Gem about six years ago when they opened a location uptown inside of the BOA building. Since I no longer work in... that building, I made it a priority to seek other locations that are easily accessible. This location never disappoints. GreatCustomer Service and always fresh Chicken Salad. I got the Sandwich combo (Classic Carol) on a croissant it comes with yourchoice of bread, with lettuce and tomato(I do not get the tomato) also one side with crackers. Usually comes with a signaturecookie w/ butter cream and a spear pickle on the side, they forgot my cookie this time, which is why I gave them 4 stars, but Ido not eat it anyway, my kids enjoy them. (Please go to website to review menu options and sides.) I substituted a side for anadditional scoop and also added another scoop, called ?the trio ? for an extra $2. I got the ?Kickin? Kay Lynn? and ?SassyScottie?. Classic Carol, it?s a plain chicken salad, while the Kickin? Kay Lynn has Buffalo sauce, bacon, ranch and Jalapeñosand shredded cheddar cheese?it?s mind blowing lol. Also, the Sassy Scottie has similar ingredients but without the Buffalo orJalapeño. Their Croissants are always fresh and flaky!!!
