I was chewing the carrot cheesecake and felt something hard and sharp. I?m not sure how a staple was pressed and baked into the... crust of the cheesecake but I?m only writing this so that whoever makes the desserts is more cautious about the scraps of trashlaying around during preparation. I went here with a good friend and honestly I was disappointed. The calamari was NOT good at all, and I love calamari. It just... didn't have a taste, was very bland. Our first time. Outstanding! Decided at last minute to try this place last Sunday evening on June 9. All three of us adults... tried different dishes. No complaints at all. Brought home enough leftovers for next night, except one who ate almost all of hisspaghetti and meat sauce. Wide variety on the menu. Looking forward to going soon to try the chicken piccata. This will be ourgo to for quick Italian at affordable prices! Authentic Italian food! Very casual atmosphere. Come as you are. So convenient,within a few miles of our house. I went to this restaurant SOLEY off of the reviews and I even told the waiter this same information. I am from Myrtle beach and... have never eaten in this establishment! My dad and I went for lunch and they were not very friendly with greeting myself or mydad.( that is putting it nicely) (We waited about 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge us for seating purposes) They didn'texplain the pizza costs or options (such as pay by slice or cost per topping etc.) It felt so uncomfortable I got up from myseat walked to the baker and asked him to please box our pizzas to go as they were coming out. My dad was shocked as well!Additionally, I observed a kitchen employee placing a metal tray full of raw food that appeared to be pizza dough on top of anopen trash can (the items were waiting to be cooked/baked) That alone is so unsanitary! I don't think they are fans ofminorities eating inside the establishment. I say this because I noticed the different treatment of every other guest thatentered the restaurant. Now, the reason for the two star rating is simply because the pizza was good. On a scale of 1-10, 1being worst and 10 being best, I would give it a true 7. Sauce was bland, and toppings at $2 each could be more plentiful. Buton the up side, crunchy crust, adequate amount of cheese, and fresh tasting. Sadly, I would not recommend because service andfood go hand in hand when spending ANY amount of money worked for. Food is an experience and with that being said....there arebetter places that offer a more respectful, comfortable and friendlier environment along with great pizza! if you do decide toeat here, get it to go, although I would say "Save your coins, and go elsewhere" Good luck!
