Their sandwiches are tasty, but my last visit was weird. Ordering was awkward as the counter person didn't seem to know she... worked there. I had to drag an order out of her. I asked for pumpernickel and received a cheese bread. When I pointed it out,she just reached over and took the one bread and came back with the other. It seemed odd. The soup was tasty, but not hot. Imentioned it to the staff and got blank stares. I was waiting for my wife as they were closing at 8pm, but just after 7pm theycounted out the cash drawer, so I knew they were going to close early. Bummer, they missed out on 2 dinners. We went to theMexican restaurant a few doors down as they were open for their advertised hours. No reason to come back but we travel toCharlotte from DeWitt often as my wife is addicted to the Yarn Garden. Read more

As a little girls outting with my 2 youngest daughters we decided to enjoy some sweets at Sidestreets. The desserts were... absolutely delicious! We got the raspberry fruit tart, lemon meringue cheesecake, triple chocolate cupcake, trash can cookie anda lemon bar. None of us were disappointed at all! I can't wait to try more things! Read more

Went for deli sandwiches, we grabbed two sandwiches with chips, coleslaw and Italian wedding soup. I had the guido and hubby has... roast beef and turkey. They were delish!!! I really enjoyed the baked goods too, wasn't crazy about the cannoli as the fillingtasted grittier than I'm used to and the shell was crispy. However, the chocolate bavarian filled eclair and carrot cake cupcakewere tasty. The frosting on the cupcake was so sweet, I had to just eat the cupcake part lol. Can't wait to return and try moregoodies, hoping they have a napoleon next time. Read more

Great fresh sandwiches. Well worth the wait as it was busy. Get acookie or something from the bakery on the other side. Read more

This is a great little place to stop in for a nice variety of sandwiches, soups and bakery items. I actually failed to take... photos of the food but did get some of the interior. The place is split into a bakery side and the deli side. They haveseparate check out registers, but I think they are owned by the same entity/person. The food is in the ~$10 range for thevarious sandwiches for the most part. The bakery side is between $2.50-$3 per item. We got the chicken salad sandwich onfrench bread, which I would not do again as it was a bit hard for the sandwich. The chicken salad is made of real chicken andwill be like you made it at home. We also got "The Kramer", which was amazing. The bread was some type of cheese bread and theinside was very tasty with enough sauce and meat. I would look at the menu for more details on the sandwiches. We did do acombo with the chicken salad which was supposed to be half a sandwich and a cup of soup, which we tried to seafood gumbo. Thegumbo was flavorful but spicy, so be warned. We also tried to of the turnovers. One was the apple and the other was cherry. The cherry needed a bit more filling but the apple was just right. If you want a more homemade experience when going out, thisplace is worth your time. Read more

What a gem! Everything from their customer service, to their sandwiches, soup, and baked goods were wonderful. We will... definitely return when back in the area. I had the Becky's Club on cheese bread with a bowl of potato bacon soup, and then splita piece of turtle cheesecake with my son. We both said it was the best cheesecake we've ever tasted (and we've had a LOT ofcheesecake). Took another piece and some eclairs to go. Nice job, Sidestreets! Read more
