Cute, quaint, and quality food. We enjoyed the courtyard seating, a cocktail, the ceviche, and the Friday special - Fried... Chicken. The ceviche was delightful, but needed to be served with more chips. The 5 tortilla chips were nowhere near enough. Thefried chicken was a little dry, but coming from a Mississippi girl - fried chicken is meant to be greasy and this version hadnone. Read more
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston for contemporary American and Italian food. This has been one of my go-to spots for... pasta dinner, and I really enjoyed my recent brunch experience here as well. Their handmade pasta has an amazing texture, andI?m especially fan of their fat spaghetti. The local clams spaghetti and the sausage ragu rigatoni are also great, and theirminimal seasoning helps highlight their textures. While no longer offered, tomato braised calamari was also one of my favoritesas the mix of tomato sauce and lemon was an excellent pairing with the calamari. When I recently took my friend here for brunch,I was disappointed to hear that they don?t serve pasta, but I still liked all the menus that we tried. Huevos rancheros was amore filling meal overall, but I also liked the coconut milk mussels that came with fragrant Thai spices and an interesting kickfrom the chili. Since they don?t take reservations, the wait times are usually around 30 minutes for dinner, but they?recertainly worth the wait. The wait times are definitely shorter for brunch, but I would highly recommend trying their dinnermenus first. Read more
The service gets six stars!! Ate at the bar and had lovely conversations with everyone. They were attentive, helpful and fun to... hang out with. I'm going to have to return and try some of the seafood since that is their specialty. I really enjoyed themushroom toast. The steak was good, nothing exciting enough to make me scream from the rafters. I'll definitely be back just tohang with the amazing people that work there. Read more
I came to this place for lunch purely because of its high rating. But my experience was different. It is pricey and the food is... small in size. The lobster roll contained probably only 7-8 pieces of lobster. The salmon was good although. Just now I checkedsome of the reviews and found most of them were for dinner. Maybe they are good for dinner, but not that good for lunch? Read more
Here from Missouri on a little vacation. First night here we had dinner at Dovetail. There was a bit of a wait for a table but... it was Saturday night. When we were seated it was the table right next to the kitchen which wasn't a great table. Husband hadthe NY Strip with fries, he ended up sending the steak back due to it being mostly grissel. Staff was very understanding andgot him another steak as quick as possible. Everyone gets a bad cut of meat sometimes, not the restaurant's fault. I had theLobster Roll and it was amazing!! If we lived in the area we would go back. Had it been a better table would have given them 4stars. Read more
Loved this place! Attentive, friendly service plus?and more importantly?the food really shines here. Fresh ingredients,... carefully crafted for the most enjoyable dining experience I?ve had in a long time. It was so good for lunch that we returnedthe next morning for brunch. When we came back the next morning, the chef noticed us as repeat diners and sent out acomplimentary avocado toast as a thank you. I am impressed. Found the little gem about a block and a half from USS Constitution. Glad we gave it a shot. Our server Emilie was lovely and... so helpful with ideas of what would be good choices for a vegan and gave great options to my husband. The food was delicious. My husbands lobster roll was full of lobster and tasty. The persimmon salad was delicious. Highly recommend stopping in forthe delicious food and great service! A and A Read more
