The food here is excellent, service not so much. I've eaten here 3-5 times, and the food is always excellent! The cashier is... hard to understand sometimes (understandably so), and makes it obvious that he would rather be anywhere other than working. There is no inside dining, it's all takeout. Never noticed a big line waiting, and the food always comes out fast. Read more

I ordered the chicken and the mixed vegetables over the phone. I was told that it would take about 15 minutes. When I showed up... after 15 minutes, the order was ready. The food is hot. The dish is delicious, the level of salt and sweetness is about right. The service is friendly and prompt. The portion is generous. When I travel on the road I usually like to order chicken withmixed vegetables. This place would rank near the top in terms of taste, service and the atmosphere in the restaurant. Read more

I have been going to Main Kwong since 1994. Their food had always been delicious, until recently over the last 6 months to a... year. Crispy chicken is dry and chewy, egg rolls are burnt, pork fried rice has very little pork and veggies in it. The onlything that has been even close to the same quality is the crab rangoon. Did Carina Kwok sell out to someone else? New owners? Ifso, when did this take place? Not happy at all with their service or the quality of their food now. Read more

I don?t know what?s going on with all the Chinese restaurants around here, but they?re going straight to hell! No service, poor... quality, greatly reduced quantity, and higher prices. I?m done with Chinese food. Read more

The whole experience with this restaurant was terrible, but the worst part was that we found a hair in my mother?s food. When I... called to place my order, they left me on hold for almost 10 minutes. I hung up and called back and they were able to take myorder right away, meaning they just straight up forgot about us and left us on hold. Halfway through our meal we found a hair inmy mom?s dish that could not have been either of ours. Then when I called them to inform them, they left us on hold for anextended period of time AGAIN, they did not apologize for the incident, but said we can bring it back for another dish or arefund. I certainly won?t be eating here ever again. Terrible service and hair in the food?no thank you. Read more

I've eaten here a few times, food was always very good...todays General Tso's chicken was like chewing leather, the pork in the... pork fried rice was invisible, instead of the egg roll I got an extra package of fortune cookies. Make sure you check your orderbefore leaving...I'll give em one more try and if it doesn't improve I'll dump them like I've had to do with so many otherrestaurants in the last few years. Read more

I have always LOVED Main Kwong. Today, I ordered the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce lunch special. As always, the portions were good and... the price was reasonable. Lunch and dinner are always very good. Read more

Update: I have since revisited Main Kwong and I can say it is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in terms of the... food. I still believe the portion sizes are small for the price, but what you get really packs a flavorful punch that isn'tmatched by any other Chinese restaurant I've been to. At the recommendation of my coworkers, I visited Main Kwong for lunchtoday. I was let down. When I came in, it was deafeningly quiet and every sound echoed throughout the place. There was nodecoration on the walls and the signage with pictures of the food was faded and difficult to read. It was at least a minutebefore the woman acknowledged that I was there, and when she finally started talking to me, she wasn't friendly at all. Sheasked what I wanted, so I grabbed a menu and read it over. I ordered the general tso's lunch special and she asked which soup Iwanted and what I wanted to drink. I got wonton soup and water, which was in a bottle. When it was time to pay, the guy besideher said the amount and reached for my card. She knocked his hand away and reached for my card, saying an amount that was about$1.20 higher than what the guy said. I'm not sure if the water I got wasn't supposed to be part of the price of the lunchspecial or if she just didn't like me and decided to charge me more. If they charged more because of the water, it shouldn'thave been $1.20 higher in my opinion. The woman started coughing terribly right before she took my card and she made no attemptto cough into her elbow/away from her hands. Very unsanitary. After I paid, she gave me my soup (in a styrofoam container) andI stood around because I wasn't sure what to do - most Chinese restaurants take your order at the table, but this place doesn'toffer to take you to a table before you order. The guy told me I could sit down anywhere and they'd bring me my food, so I wentinto the dining room. The dining room was depressingly bare and had the same echo problem as the front coun Read more
