Reviews for Ichiban | Pan-Asian Cuisine in Charleston, WV
I've ordered takeout a few times but recently had the dine-in experience. Our waitress, Isabelle, was very friendly and patient.... She helped us in every way she could and was great with our kids. The food was great and we had a nice time. I highly recommendit! My husband was most fond of the ahi tuna, he said it was some of the best he's ever had. Read more
Friendly staff and great service, menu's a little limited on non-sushi food, but that's ok, I like sushi, which was good.
My first visit had great service; however, overall freshness, quality, and flavor in food were lacking.
Ordered today for lunch everything was delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again. I got my usually however, add... salmon and it was the best. Thank you! Read more
Very solid sushi. The tuna steak was DELICIOUS and the soy garlic veggies were great! Singapore noodles had a great flavor and... the chicken was juicy. A larger beer selection (and a drink menu) would be nice. Read more
I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately it was a miss for us. Our server was the bartender which I don't mind, but she... seemed a little spread thin as service kicked off. We got eggrolls and 3 Maki rolls. The eggrolls were $8 and it was 2 eggrollscut in half. The sushi rolls were very small and took about 45 minutes to get and we were one of 2 tables. One of the rolls wegot was $20 and was supposed to have lobster in it. I'm not saying the Lobster was missing but it was nearly non existent. Also, the rice was old. I don't mean day old as sushi rice is. I mean stale and sorta crunchy? It was a 45 minute wait for some of themost underwhelming sushi I've had. Our server didn't finish out with us. The manager or owner came to bring us the check andasked how it was. I swear I was polite, but I did let him know that the portion seemed very small and he said they serve 8pieces as a standard. I didn't want to make a big deal, but it wasn't really about the amount of pieces. Needless to say, Idon't really think there was anything redeeming enough to give it a second chance. 2 stars cause at least our server was nice??????? Read more
A great restaurant in the heart of downtown Charleston which offers cocktails from the classic Old Fashion and Manhattan to the... uniquely asian-inspired green tea martini. The is phenomenal and prepared by local legend, Chef Evan. From presentation totaste and texture, the sushi and sashimi are the highest quality and presented with culinary flair. Be warned that prices areabove average, but understand that the restaurant uses the highest quality ingredients and the size of the restaurant limits thenumber of daily patrons. Our friends Julie and Keith were thoroughly impressed as well. Read more
Pretty decent though moderately priced sushi. We ordered the octopus ?dumpling special? which were tasty though more like boudin... balls. I got the capital roll and and a blue crab, shrimp combo roll. The went a bit heavy with the seasoning which overpoweredit. The layout was pleasant and they have an attached bar, welcoming atmosphere and located downtown. Funny surprise was themens rooms which really should just just be a one person. All in all a pleasant experience. Read more
