Had a chance to have lunch at the Meeting Street location. It was a great experience. The staff was friendly, especially Scotty... who was amazing, friendly and had a great sense of humor. He definitely made a difference in our experience. For the food, kidshad flat iron pancakes which were good but not the best. I had Philly Steak Biscuit and the freshly made biscuit was a good sizeand very flavorful. The best part was the Deluxe Stuffed (with fresh peaches) French Toast. It was very delicious and perfectlymade. There was a choice of a single or a double deluxe stuffed French toast and glad that we ordered only the single as it wasa very decent size. Double would have been very hard to finish. The only minus point is that the place could be a little bitmore cleaner. Definitely will return the next time we visit Charleston. Read more

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new breakfast spot. We came across Toast through Google. We thought the place would be... great, we looked through their pictures and of course their food looked as delicious as it was in real life. One thing I lovedabout this placed was the very heartwarming welcoming we received by the very polite young lady at the entrance and ghe customerservice was great as well. I would definitely go back to this place. I loved it <3 Read more

The shrimp and grits was good but could have used a bit for salt to my liking. I enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes on top.... Customer service was great, environment was nice, and overall clean. My husband enjoyed his chicken and waffles. Side note: Itried to eat all of my grits and barely did so. The portion was well worth the price. Will definitely return! Read more

We had a lovely Sunday brunch at this lively establishment a few weeks ago. I bit the bullet and ordered the shrimp and grits,... which was satisfying albeit a bit heavy requiring an afternoon nap (that I haven?t taken since college). We opted to sit at thebar to avoid a longer wait for a table where Chandler took good care of us from start to finish. I?d definitely consider arepeat visit on a repeat visit to Charleston. Come famished, leave fulfilled. Read more

Love this place. Seems to be very popular for both tourists and locals. We came here early so were seated very quickly, but if... you come in later, there will be a wait as this is a popular breakfast place. We ordered an omelette and a low country shrimpand grits. I mostly ate the low country shrimp and grits and it is very good. Super tasty. Slightly on the salty side but themix of grits and the seasoning on the vegetables and shrimps is fantastic. Also portion is huge for breakfast. You can make iteven bigger by adding biscuits to the order but I can't imagine I would be able to finish it. We also ordered some lattes butthose are ok. Nothing to highlight. Overall I had a great breakfast here and would highly recommend as a solid tourist choicein the area. Read more

Unfortunately, this spot did not live up to the hype. I got the chicken and waffle and was disappointed. I would see this is my... least favorite chicken and waffle I?ve ever had. The chicken was barely seasoned, chewy, no honey, no butter. Not hot. My wifehad the French toast. She felt this was straight out of a frozen bag and warmed up. My son got the Single Deluxe French Toast.I tried some and thought it was ok. The location was not super clean. The waitress was friendly, but I could tell she was new. Idid like the corn beef hash. My son loved his omelet with steak. The fresh orange juice was also good. Read more

Super quaint country breakfast in the city!! Love the 6 AM opening time!! Friendly staff along with delicious food put this... restaurant over the top. Jenna went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. We had OUTSTANDING creamy grits and the BESThomemade, soft and fluffy biscuit. Impressed with the quality of bacon and fresh squeezed orange juice. The pancakes were supergood!! One order is 2 large pancakes. Crispy on the outside and had a wonderful tangy taste. The Belgian waffle was the perfectsize. Taste was not overpowering. Super good coffee served in a super large cup. Toast is the place to be! ???? Read more
