I LOVEDDDDD this cafe. We ate here for breakfast back to back and had the breakfast buffet which we just loved. Our server the... second time wasn't so on par but the first time everything was terrific. The natural light in this place is INSANE and gives therestaurant such a luxurious feel and just makes you happy just being there. I will absolutely come back again. As far as thebuffet the sausage was my favorite thing but the also have a omelet station. Read more

I treated myself to breakfast downtown Charleston at The Palmetto Cafe which is located inside of The Charleston Place hotel and... I was not disappointed! It is so nice and elegant; very clean and comfortable. The staff really goes above and beyond as well! The host was so kind to sit me at a table near the live music (on the weekends starting at 11am) and my server was veryfriendly. I ordered a cappuccino and an Acai Bowl (strawberries, bananas, granola, acai) and it was amazinggg! I highlyrecommend stopping here! Read more

The Palmetto Cafe is a wonderful eatery nestled in the largest hotel in the city! It was wonderful wide open windows and the... whole of the restaurant seemed bright and elegant. The menu was pricy but the food was delicious. I was very much filled up fromthat burger, it was as juicy as can be. The crab cake was amazing, about smaller than a hockey puck in size. A wonderful outingif you?re looking for a fine dining breakfast, lunch, or brunch! Read more

Had lunch at the Palmetto Cafe while on a girl?s trip. You cannot go wrong here. Everything we had to eat was delicious and the... service was impeccable. Our waiter Rudy was absolutely amazing. If you crave vegetarian - you absolutely must get thecauliflower steak. The roasted pine nuts, red peppers, tomatoes, and chimichurri topping truly hit the spot. Plus, lunch waslight enough that it didn?t weigh us down all day while shopping. Highly recommended! Read more

Yum, love it! It?s so easy to enjoy breakfast every morning when staying at The Charleston Place. A complete menu, and the staff... have always been kind enough to let me order ?non-menu? items when I?m feeling them. Great food and attentive staff. Read more

This is the fanciest (yet not the most expensive, which is a good thing) breakfast we had in Charleston. I had the lobster and... crab omelette and my wife had an oat meal. I never had lobster in an omelette before so it's interesting. There are indeedhuge chunks of lobster and crab meat inside, which is awesome. The omelette is well prepared and tasted good. I also liked thegrits on the side. The speed of service is quite slow though, as they also have to prepare for room service orders for thehotel, so budget your time accordingly. Overall I had a good experience here and would recommend to others. Read more

Came here all the way from Boston for their brunch buffet (well, there were other reasons to travel but Palmetto Cafe was on my... list for the first meal of the trip) and it didn?t disappoint. A diverse selection of high-quality food, friendly and genuinelyupscale service, it was the famed ?southern hospitality? at its best. Yes, it?s a bit more expensive than your regular breakfastspot, but it?s worth every penny. The holiday-themed decorations including a HUGE toy train/winter wonderland installation inthe main lobby just add to the cheerful vibe. Lots of people-watching too. Not an everyday thing for sure, but something tosavor and remember. Read more
