As my wife and I are newcomers to the Charleston area having relocated from NY, we are making the rounds of highly rated... restaurants. The grocery earned all 5 stars . I start by saying service provided by Haywood ( our waiter) was top notch inevery way. Appetizer meant to be shared were generous in portion and delicious. You can order as you go along which is a greatway to dine. You can work you way through multiple small plates and call it quits or sample one or two before jumping into alarger entree. Every staff member that I interacted with was so incredibly friendly and helpful! I had a mix up with my reservation via Resy... since I reserved a time slot for lunch (which they are not serving at the moment), but a staff member reached out to me andquickly resolved the issue by squeezing us in for dinner which was unexpected but SO appreciated. Found out we were actuallydining during happy hour and were able to indulge in $5 cocktails and discounted appetizers! Loved the atmosphere, the food, andour wonderful server (who also doubled as the bartender). Everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious, and you can tellthey use high quality ingredients and prepare everything with care. Amazing experience overall. Cannot wait to visit again soon! Love the vibe and the menu offer many new and interesting twist on things. One thing I wished was there was at least one... vegetarian or vegan entree, Though I ordered numerous veggie apps to eat that sufficed. Service was great and seating waswonderful with plenty space. Read more

Outstanding experience. From the freshly baked bread to the seafood pilau, we enjoyed all the plates! We also tried the steak... tartare, roasted okra and fried oysters! All were great, but the roasted okra stuck out because I don't typically like okra. Theflavors/texture was on point. Also, it's probably impossible to go wrong with dessert. We tried the peanut butter bar (myfavorite), the peach ice cream and the coconut sorbet. Also nods to the coconut sorbet.
